[Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

If this was the case I can't believe they would even be hesitating to show him the door. The Dalai should be packing his kit bag and out the front hailing the cab.

Yep, but sadly for them (lol!) that's not how it works...there's going to be insurance company involvement before any claim to retire him medically would be accepted.

And insurance companies are not known for handing out cash without checking the circumstances...and the medical records...and whether you signed a guy to a big money, long-term contract without doing a proper risk assessment regarding the likelihood of him actually being able to fulfil that contract...

I cant see doesntmatta sorting our their cap in time.

Isn't there a 2 week cooling off period now anyway until a contract is registered?

So even if they offload players tomorrow, they wont transfer for 2 weeks, therefore not helping the cap situation in time for next round.

The squeels should be playing for nothing this season.

The storm penalty also looks worse, becuase unlike the bottom dwellers, the storm cheated their way to some minor premierships and 2 major premierships.

If it was manly, 'riff, gummies, faders, st merge, etc.. they would be playing for nothing.
Mate we'd get relocated to Perth, or renamed the Central Coast Bears or some sh*t..

This comment is from the trouser snake forum. Even through their blue and gold glasses they can see whats going on.

They don't want to compromise the ratings and TV deal so on their part its a smart move as we still have a chance, if we lose our next couple of games the ratings will suffer for the rest of the season but if we keep winning ratings at the back end of the year will spike, lets hope the refs are instructed to be nice to us for the remainder of the season.

So regardless of the fact that they've been caught out rorting the system those scumbags still believe they're entitled to a shot at the pennant, what a f*****g joke, perhaps the North Koreans could use Parra as a nuclear testing area and rid us of the cheating bastards forever

From what I understand, they can do exactly that - or Parramatta get sued for breach of contract.

This is why a whole lot of players are being paid by more than one club at a time - old club wants to move them on, new club won't pay the full amount, old club has to make up the difference or the player won't agree to release the club from their contractual obligations.

I think the main point the @Shoe1 was alluding to, is just because the club says good news the chooks will take you, the player is entitled to say no, not going, i just bought a unit in silverwater, I'm staying.

watching NRL 360 tonight, greenturd basically said after what happened to the storm in 2010, he said that was devastating for the players and fans and didn't want that to happen this time so has given parra a slight chance to still win the comp and fans still hope. Even though they have continued to try and hide evidence.

He said parra are over the cap by approx 570k, (at the moment in 2016), so all points thus far have been taken away. As soon as they get under the cap for 2016 - they can play for points. If choc is on 570 and has his insurance claim approved, then that will go towards the cap.

So it sounds like they are only getting punished as long as they are over the cap for this year, let alone the 2.1 million over the last 5 years!

In all honestly, as if the players do not know something is dodgy when they are receiving cash payments and under the table handshakes, cars etc

ALL third party deals need to be publicly disclosed from this time on.

They are doing well cause they are almost 600k over the cap. Its unfair, they have blatented cheated and lied. no way they should be playing for points this year

Yep, both parties have to agree to the release for it to happen. Usually, it's money - but as you said, Player X can choose to dig his heels any for any reason and the club can't do a thing about it.

Bahahahahahahahaaaaa

Just got off a plane - read the news on our site and remembered an old manly chant from the 70's

(Well same tune anyway)
it went like this
If your happy and you know it clap your hands
Fukc parra
If your happy and you know it clap your hands
Fukc parra
If your happy and you know it and really love to see them blow If your happy and you know it clap your hands
Fukc parra

I declare today is a day for irresponsible drinking and celebrate all things anti matter

Sucked in you slimeycheating disgusting slugs and may this be a lesson in what happens if you try and stuff our club

Ps wine good on long haul flights

apparently have about a week to get under the cap and start playing for points. There is talk that all 26 players will take a small pay cut and they will keep current squad.

Kent is pretty annoyed that they can still make the eight - especially with a very favorable draw. basically need to win 12 out of 15.

Fair enough too. Especially given that the player used his outstanding negotiation skills, on an entirely arms length basis, to negotiate to buy that unit for half price from Dyldam.

The reason to have a cap is to keep the comp competitive - but with all these unknown 3rd party payments its hard to compete with big rich financial clubs like broncos.

they need to cap the 3rd party to a reasonable amount and NRL needs to disclose these payments to all parties including each team and public

Greenburg specifically said they cannot renogotiate contracts to go under the cap.

Yep. Haven't had success in such a long time they'd take it any way they could.
And they think the Dalai is some kind of god - sort of like when the Ewoks were mesmerised by C3PO in Return of the Jedi.
