I think the Lawman has played well for Manly in the games he has actually been on the field. I was hopeful this year he might even be able to play 13.

But too many longer-term injuries now. ACLs, Achilles, shoulders.

Surely his best days are unfortunately past him now.

I guess Nathan Brown now comes in for the Lawnman. I see this as a big upgrade for us. I really like some of the changes Seibs has made.
Now just to move Condon and Fulton. That would make it a very successful off season.

Will be interesting to see if Condon and Fulton also find new homes after getting tapped on the shoulder. Like Lawton, they have some attributes but obviously aren't what coach is looking for right now.

We are now down to 27 in the Top 30 squad, who are going to fill the remaining 3 spots. Brown would be one I presume, do the other 2 come from the Train and Trial players?

The thing going for Matterson is his versatility which is invaluable on any bench. You could argue Burbo fills that roll for now in front of him.

If it comes to either Matto or Burbo for a bench spot, it's got to be Burbo, more upside in attack for mine. I can see Matto coming in every now and then owing to injury, but may have a fight for this with Arthur.

Certainly could not doubt Karl 's enthusiasm level or general footy ability but gee he has been a bit injury prone the past couple of seasons as well .
Hardly has featured in many run on or bench option suggestions in ist grade for next season also so probably well worth considering a change in scenery from his and the clubs perspective .
Always recalled what a good impression he made in the 2nd row in his Manly debut against the Eels a couple of seasons ago and again could never doubt his good commitment or participation outlook .
Just some of his on field decision making, some limitations and again the injury problems .
Type of player however who still deserves every success in his future playing career at whatever level

Not only unfortunate with injuries but sat out a month for that tackle on Cam Murray up at Gosford in 22. He was going well on the return from injury at that point too. A shame.
