Turbo will be out for at least 4 weeks plus 2-3 weeks during Origin. Wouldn't it make sense for Des to give game time to a designated fullback now rather than use a stop gap fullback? Also, Garrick has developed into one of the premier finishers in the comp. Why move him from his best position?

This. It's 8 weeks minimum at fullback. It's not fro one or two games. Let Koula find his way now.

Very likely unfortunately. An 8 week stint at fullback I'd rather we experiment and benefit from Koula playing there. Rather than a safe Garrick. He doesn't chime in attack at all and we've struggled in attack. Des will likely go with the safe option though

COCA COLAAAA TIME BABY. Hope he stays at fullback because that is very exciting. Also hope Christian gets his shot, he looked solid during the trials. If Parker is good to go by Thursday, I do feel like Des will just put Garrick at FB. But right now he doesn't want Koula and Tui defending together on an edge so he's got Tolu at Fullback. It's a fresh backline, I got the excitement back that I kind of lost with the Turbo news yesterday. We can win this!!

Actually, I reckon young Koula’s nickname should be “Pepsi”, no Coca, in reference to our previous sponsors. Just a thought that occurred to me on the weekend.

The only problem is that would leave a debutant and a one-game rookie to try to defend against the form centre of the comp, Gagai.
So I think they will run out as selected.

Only late change might be Parker in if fit, although if that was a serious possibility you'd think Des would just have selected Parker. Bit hard on the youngster to be chosen then left out at the last minute, surely Des would never do that.

Actually now I think about it - Parker might be back in seeing he is named on the extended bench. If Covid protocols were against him - he wouldn't be named. Garrick to FB and Koula to wing? Sipley for Keppie.

I feel a fair bit more confident because of Aloiai's form last week.
He was pretty impressive, just kept hitting it up and tackled hard and often.
Should give DCE and Foran a solid platform to try to dominate field position.

If its wet as expected, going to need a big kicking game from DCE which we know he can deliver as seen on the weekend. We havent fared well in wet weather footy in recent years but hoping the addition of Tui can provide more metre coming out of our own now that we've lost Turbos 300m, the outside backs are going to need to step up in early set carries and Tuis size suggests he will do just that
