Croker has been training at hooker all off season and even when he was training at 5/8 full time he was serviceable at best. Lawton has played in the halves previously and is a good edge defender. I can see him playing a simplified role at 5/8 where 80% of the time he just feeds Turbo.

Can he kick?

Defence and a simple game plan will win this. The battle will be won in the middle, dominate the forwards, we win.

We still have enough strike power to win this, discipline will be the key, drop balls and penalties will result in a loss.

Training and medical staff should be sacked during the bye. Hope Ben T has improved since last time I saw him play live he was a speed bump in defence very soft.

I know one thing for sure - I don't want Croker anywhere near playing 5/8. He just doesn't cope mentally at all with any pressure/responsibility hence why we've persevered with him at hooker. Tackle and pass well mate.. Nothing more. A few bad kicks and poor decisions at 5/8 and he'd be dropping the head and it'd be game over.

Funa to fullback and Tom to 6 could be a good option.

I think Tom at fullback is too integral for our positional organisation from the back in defence. Six for us is now more just a link in our backline sweeps with the odd kick. Not as vital. It’s the lack of attacking options that worries me with schuster out, but having suli in for Parker I think gives us a bit more fire power on that edge .

My prediction! Parker to move in one spot to 5/8, Jorge or Funa to come in to left centre.
Will be a bit odd either way but we don't want to change our fullback, right side or dummy half after its taken all this time to get them running smoothly.
We'll still win, subject to some dodgy send-offs.
