IF Croker has to medically retire then that is a real shame. 100% effort player. While he may not be the quickest hooker or offer the slickest service from dummy half he would be in the top 5 for toughness and defence.

IF he has to medically retire it would also explain the need to buy a replacement quickly, and as per another thread I applaud Manly for acting proactively.

Same guy also said Croker has an inner ear issue that is effecting his balance. Quite debilitating but temporary and won't force medical retirement.

If my back of the envelope calculations are correct we have spent $80k above minimum over 2.5 years to get a junior rep, specialist hooker with first grade experience and potential upside. To me that is outstanding value.

If he was an outstanding player he would justify his outstanding overs from the minimum wage .
His Rep junior and specialist hooker status did not serve the tigers well as they had to go on the open market to sign the outstanding Api .
Having said that he might prove outstanding value for us
Until he does he is not an outstanding cap value

I really do worry about Lachlan - he does not seem to place a high value on his body which I appreciate as a fan but worry about him post playing health wise
