Yep.Got me there . And back home he goes to the Tigers. I would suggest the Tigers got it right and him wrong the first time given how many starting games he played at the bunnies.

The day a club starts listening to players going in to bat for a coach after three years of rubbish and decaying culture is the day it dies.If they like and admire him so much why do they roll over in front of their home fans without a fight every second week. It’s bull****.These players you trust entirely in their evaluation of Trent as a mastermind are the same players who conceded almost 700 points , ran 15th and wilted every time the blow torch was applied. If my memory has not left me I think we conceded less than 200 points in a season in the mid 90s.

Barrett statistically is about our worst coach ever We ran second last with a talented roster. We surrendered leads meekly throughout the year, had no discernible game plan other than second phase pass and hope , a mind boggling tactic of kicking out when trailing and conceded more points than any other side.Our selections and use of bench were ridiculous, crowds stopped coming to games and we were basically an embarrassment by years end.The press conferences were hard to even watch.

Barrett is done. No one is chasing his services obviously as a senior coach or he wouldn’t be hanging around threatening court action.I would be willing to bet he doesn’t coach first grade again. He failed at 20s and he’s failed here.

Get a decent coach and this side has talent.Some technical nouse , discipline and accountability and we will be back in the eight and this three years of excuses and hand wringing will be long forgotten.

Of course I am just another numbnut and an imbecile( as you so eloquently refer to anyone who disagrees with who ) who thinks 13th ,6th and 15th and constant capitulations and floggings are not acceptable. But maybe that’s just me.

Yeah mate, you're probably right ...... I am sure you know more than DCE..... he has hardly spent any time with Barrett .... you on the other hand ....

What an old fool I am thinking a Premiership winning player would know more than people who get their info from rumour merchants on twitter .....

And thanks for putting me straight ..... I'll get the hang of this game eventually if I keep listening to experts .....

Oh come on mate... Trent’s the next big thing in coaching according to Gus and you’re being a tad harsh by pointing out how he’s the only Panthers under 20’s coach to flop in the last ten years. I reckon he would have been a good North Sydney coach as well. He could have transitioned seamlessly into the Bears culture.

Let’s hope so... it will be a massive boost to morale just having a real coach at the club again. The other thing about Madge is he’s a renowned fitness fanatic which should force our overweight high performance guru out the back door. @Ryan will be pleased.

The difference between sacked and resigned may have confused you .... I was fine ..... and I will concede however that you know a bit more about squirting than DCE ...
