Can not see any legal or technical reason why Manly can not sign or offer a contract to another coach for next season . No doubt is a complicated matter at the present time concerning Barrett's involvement with the club . He still has the expected obligations under the current terms and it would probably take the course of a cat and mouse game if it is not resolved soon . Would no doubt seem a bit farcical , but what would prevent a new head coach from rocking up or attending the initial official Manly training in early November and carrying out his role there . And if Baz shows up also , well a bit of a circus but if he does not , then he has technically breached his contractual obligations . Would again think or expect that something would have to be resolved soon . If Gus is in public at least , so concerned about Baz "s best interests , maybe he should offer him another role coaching back at the Panthers in some capacity .
