Who do you think will be coaching us next year?

Wayne did get the Knights to a prelim final.

With heavy backing from then money happy Tinkler. He won't get an open chequebook here like then or at Brisbane. But if he wanted to prove something to himself and others that he could rebuild a club like ours? That's a very big if though

I would say keep an open mind to Bennett. I think with the RIGHT support staff to develop to take over from him Wayne will be awesome.
I think he’s only missed the 8 twice since 1992

So he’s a big yes for me if we can have toovey or hasler

I'd be fine with Maguire doing both jobs

The kiwi connection could help us land a decent player or two and Carty, Randall, Monaghan? can take the reins for a week or two here and there
That's a good point.... he might be able to land us a decent Kiwi player.
There's a few players in here I would be happy with....

Kiwis wider squad:

Brisbane Broncos: Jamayne Isaako, Jordan Kahu, Kodi Nikorima; Canberra Raiders: Jordan Rapana, Joseph Tapine; Canterbury Bulldogs: Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Reimis Smith; Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks: Sosaia Feki; Gold Coast Titans: Kevin Proctor; Manly Sea Eagles: Martin Taupau; Melbourne Storm: Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Jesse Bromwich, Kenneath Bromwich, Jahrome Hughes, Brandon Smith; Newcastle Knights: Herman Ese’ese, Danny Levi; North Queensland Cowboys: Te Maire Martin; Penrith Panthers: James Fisher-Harris, Corey Harawira-Naera, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Dean Whare; St George Illawarra Dragons: Leeson Ah Mau; Sydney Roosters: Isaac Liu, Joseph Manu, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves; New Zealand Warriors: Gerard Beale, Adam Blair, Tohu Harris, Peta Hiku, Shaun Johnson, Issac Luke, Ken Maumalo, Isaiah Papali’i, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck; Wests Tigers: Esan Marsters.

You're already talking about developing staff to take over from Wayne?! That proves the point.... he is too old and not the way forward.

I don't think Bennett is ideal but him being coach would give me more confidence than Baz ever did.
Des and Tooves would have the place buzzing, for varying reasons, but again I'd be more confident than with old mate.

Both Bennett and Maquire would demand total authority. I can't see the Penns agreeing to this.
I'm still pumping for the Walker Brothers. Cheap, two-for one, innovative, exciting, largely untried and Ben played for Manly.
It's not like the club has never punted on an unproven coach . . .

Bennett or McGuire? Either will do me. Both successful coaches and that's what you need, the perception of being a winner. Encourages players to join. Both have had good players to coach and help them look successful, but a bad coach could have made some of the teams they coached look ordinary. These two have the confidence of winners and give confidence of winning to players. Pick either. They know their job. Bennett may be long in the tooth but that can be a plus. As long as he is still in the system and knows all new developments, he can be useful

One thing to factor on is the ability to draw in some decent players , currently we have zero credibility in that area.

Bennett would do that , so would Maguire, Cartwright wouldn’t!!
