Has Des lost the dressing room??

If we are dusted say

44-0 v Eels
56-0 v Storm

I’d suggest he’d be under big pressure.

Honestly I don’t think we’ll see those scores but neither do I think we’ll win either game.
The way the entire team played. I reckon something big has blown up.

Parra I can't see us beating, but the don't always blow teams away.

But Storm. Pap is out tonight I don't know how long he's out. But just think 70-10 thrashing of the Warriors earlier this year.

The way every player in our side showed up not giving 2 ****s. The dogs would have won by 20 last night. If we play like that or worse. A cricket score is not out of the realms.

Hughes should be out as well

Walker leaving
Tapau not resigned
Foran not resigned

( and yes I’m aware we need to move some on due to salary cap etc etc )

3 players taking a very large chunk of the salary cap.

Young players threatening to leave if they don’t play certain positions.

Blind Freddy can see that at times this team isn’t playing like a team it’s playing like a loose knit of players , some of whom are injured , some of whom are leaving and clearly don’t really care , some aren’t being offered upgrade or extensions and like those leaving don’t seem to care.

We go ok against weak teams as we do have some good players but as soon as ANY pressure , yes anything at all , comes on us we fall apart like a stack of cards being knocked over in the wind.

Last nights game was gone in TWO SECONDS. Heads went down , and from there it was inevitable that we would lose, think about that “ two ****ing seconds “ and we are dusted!

Of course Des doesn’t make the tackles , Des isn’t on field yelling instructions BUT this IS Des’s team.

Has he lost the dressing room??

Is he good enough to turn things around ??

Has the game moved past him??

He’s never mentioned as a coach under threat , should he start to be??
He is coaching in the past, time for change!

I know I'm a dinosaur ... but a real good plan for improving our attack would be .. TO EARN THE ****ING RIGHT TO GO WIDE. .. and you only do that by bending them back and winning the middle ..

We have the players that can do that .. but we are lucky to get 1 prop hitting it each set before going 2/3 wide ... we never. Ever have 3 or 4 forwards hit it up as a pack
I agree but I will also say that it is a bit hard when we don't have field position - and we are continually coming back to bring the ball out of our own end after a kick. For the pigs to be the first players back to take a ruck after a kick - that is virtually impossible....Given how we have been starting games with stupid errors, we are straight on the back foot and pinned on our line generally meaning the first three rucks are taken by backs. Tippytoes has been fabulous at making yardage... Parker is also great at that but we don't have Parker. So Koula - fabulous player that he is - he isn't a meter eater off our own line. A FIT Turbo is also a metre eater but Turbo isn't fit. That makes it super hard to have the forwards involved and yes smashing the ball in ruck after ruck. Last night after that hopeless first kick off - we were pinned for a good 15 minutes and a guy like Aloiai didn't even get a look in to touch the ball until about the 10 minute. These poor starts keep killing us and if the other teams then make yards in their first set... we are straight away in trouble. But agree - we still go wide too early and maybe that is because we are not making yards because of the reasons above and we are trying to stretch them wide to try and get the opposition on the back foot. Then when we do make yards like Marty's huge run... we then stuff it up with an error or some clunky backline play and yes boy we were clunky in that first half - terrible... lucky I didn't watch the second half. Schu really does bring some pizzaz to our attack and Paseka when he has a dig brings some metres. Both missing obviously.

So how does a team go from the effort put in against South's with only 12 men, to the lack luster stuff by almost all vs the Broncos.

What Evers gone down has to be big.

Timing wise u would think the Foran to the Tits has to be connected.

DES being DES. And Foz being his illegitimate love child.
Can anyone Imagine DES saying, Scott.
Look we need to find more money to keep Kieran. If Kieran goes. I go?

Now you’re really clutching at straws. Standing by to see this theory repeated in the media. Well done.

Why would Hasler, who is looking to move into a coaching director’s role (at Manly) in the next couple of years (a process which took months to sort out), sacrifice his future via some quixotic action for the sake of one player?

Anyone that thinks there’s options in the Blacktown team, need to watch this for a reality check.Obviously there’s struggles with combinations due to the ever changing team list but there are a lot of unfit players in there.Humphreys looks a few years away but I like the look of him.And those calling for Segeyaro to get a contract to play are basically only saying it due to their dislike of Croker
We can’t except Croker to go 80 against Parra, and Storm. Lawmans out suspended, so I believe Segeyaro is the man to give Croker a 15-20 minute break in each half. Segeyaro has been switching between 7 & 9 at Blacktown. I say give him a go until Lawman comes back.

Interesting. So there was already an agreement afoot for DES to take a step back. Albeit a small one. I did not know that.

Not sure how DES would go as a Director of Coaching. Some new ideas excites. DES is no dill. Just not sure I can see him handing over.

If Hasler was to move on who would replace him? I can't think of any ex Manly players in the coaching ranks who could replace him. But currently I think Hasler needs a assistant coach who understands the modern game to help him out.

Michael Monaghan or Chad Randall?

They are the assistant coaches.

Or maybe bring back Matt Balin.

Like Michael Monaghan or Chad Randall? Oh wait, they’re already assisting him.

So many people with insights into how our head coach’s brain works.
