Gorman could have said DCE wasn't 1 of the 5 he didn't. Was easy for Gorman to say DCE was not 1 of the 5 but he didn't that say's it all. Either way he has given up his right to captain our club by being in a knuckle at training with anyone that's not how a captain behaves.
I can't imagine Beaver or Killer getting it on with anyone at training.

Singling out a player whether he is the captain or not would be a mistake and Gorman knows it. I'd rather it be dealt with in house without causing any more of a ruckus than it already has.

How do you know DCE was out? Lyall Gorman didn't say DCE was one of the five. He just said he was fined because he made poor leadership choices, that could mean anything.

I don't know DCE was out. I was only conveying what I HEARD on radio (2UE announcer) and as I said in my post, it was NOT Gorman. All of it is pure speculation until we hear it from the horse's mouth, so to speak, but meanwhile we can only comment on what we hear.
Yes the fine for poor leadership choices could mean anything.

If Trent Barrett has told the team that they were not to go out and they defied that order, then the players responsible should have been dropped. The place badly needs discipline and the coach needs to demand respect!!

And I would have been a total smart ass about it too. Fined the 5 of them 10K each.

I would have dropped them to Ron Massey Cup and told them next time they disobeyed a directive they would have their contacts ripped up.

I heard that on the radio too, that DCE was there.
If that's the case then the question is: Was Hastings also there?
Because if he wasn't and DCE was, then why the hell was he knocking on his door at 1am? Not really the time for reconciliation, more the time to amp up a fight.
Not that I think any of them should have been out after Humiliation #1.

I heard early this morning on the radio (but not Gorman) that after the game the boys went to the pub for a few beers and a feed and TB told them to have an early night and not to head out (as @Mitch quotes here). However, 5 players went to the strip club, including DCE!
This is a dreadful look and shows what little respect they have for TB and as for DCE, it beggars belief.
I thought the fine imposed on DCE was for the hotel room incident with Hastings. What I don't understand (which I said in another thread) is why he wasn't stripped of the captaincy as he's abused that role and set a bad example. I get why he wasn't dropped and the fine's a drop in the ocean to him but he shouldn't be the captain of our club!

I'd say he'd be hiding from Mrs. DCE as well.
