He always plays his heart out. Effort and intensity and perhaps just as important, accountability.

I still think his best position is on the wing. Although he’s certainly improved many aspects of his game, that he could cover both Centre and Fullback. Although if he was to cover fullback, the extra energy required does effect his goal kicking.

The only thing I wish he’d get out of his game, are the stutter steps. For someone his size, he should just try to accelerate and cover the ground as quickly as possible, into the defence. I’m not saying he should run directly at defenders. Obviously try to pivot at the line, to hit between the defenders then, he’d be a chance to break thru. At the moment, he turns his back and submits which often leads to a dominant tackle.
 
Garrick put in a huge effort last night and was our best on the park. DCE played strong. And get ready for it I thought Woods and Paseka were our best forwards in a well beaten pack. Finally Schu’s feeble effort when the Mammoth trotted past him to score was disappointing. Sure a scary tackle to make but he didn’t have a go.
