Frankenstein was trying to make the Australian Rugby Sevens squad which trained at Narrabeen next to Sea Eagles headquarters. When he missed out on selection Manly was desperate and gave him a lifeline for the latter part of the season. It would have been a base rock-bottom salary. If he was re-signed for $250,000 a season then I hope that Manly official is no longer employed by us.

I still think Frankinstein is a prop. Definately has a go, has the physique. Time out of league has hurt him as far as reading the game. Thanks Frank never doubted your effort. A try saving tackle that won us a game vs the cows stands out as one of the more gutsy match winners.

I agree it was a silly thing what he did and he payed the price for his wrong and I hope he learns from this that it is wise to keep sex tapes in house and private like most of us responsible people do .

I know that people think 250 or so is too much for a guy who did not perform,but that is irrelevant to the circumstances at the time.When he signed his last contract,Siro and Frankie were our starting second rowers.Thompson was still on the horizon and our only other second rowers were Lane who at the time was underperforming and was moving from prop to lock to second row,and Gosiewski who we had picked up from the Bunnies(both were on bargain basement contracts).Frankie was weighing up an offer to move back to Japanese rugby,but chose to remain with us,250-300K is not that much for a starting second rower for a club with no other options...(the salary cap is 9 million dollars,an average starter in the NRL is on around 250K when you factor in the elite earners and basement contract players into the mix).Now we have Thompson,Sironen,Gosiewki is firing and Waddell as well(along with Olakau'atu and Schuster) and 250-300K now looks ridiculous.DCEs' contract looked ridiculous at the time,but now it seems par for the course.

Agree. I’m anaphylactic with penicillin which I learned the hard “or swollen” way so I know proven medicines can still cause bad reactions in some. The greater good prevails though and reading something like how his wife is going to Samoa etc. to spread anti-vax stuff she probably pulled from a Facebook post does my head in.
