If he's outside a centre who can't pass, we are in trouble. Who's his centre, and how many try assists did that player get last season?
I know, I know, Des has returned, so it's all good.
Last season is last season mate .
This is a new season with a new NRL squad and a proven premiership winning coach and a different culture set in .
Des has returned you say with complete irony which shows how little you know the affect an experienced and successful coach has to his players
NRL head coaches do not get paid a minimum of six figure sums to offer excuses and not be accountable for their teams performances
When a great coach takes over a wooden spoon level coach, he sets a completely new standard of competence .
A proven coach will have the ability to effectively communicate, motivate and bring out the best out of his players and lift his players when they run on to the field and take on the opposition
He will have the ability to asses the skill set of his players and work to improve their game
He will have the ability to place effective team structures
He will have the ability to point out the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition and come up with a strategy to win.
Every team has weaknesses and a great coach like Des who watches more NRL tapes than I watch porn finds them .
He will have the ability to adapt to challenging times and over come adversity with a proactive mindset and come up with effective solutions
To put it simple
@Ryan
Coaches are like school teachers and every year players go to school and learn and become more skillful and wiser
and if those players have a fcked coach then they learn nothing and do not progress
