NRL finals draw Week 1

Qualifying Final: Friday, September 9 at 7.50pm (AEST), BlueBet Stadium
Penrith Panthers (1) v Parramatta Eels (4)

Elimination Final: Saturday, September 10 at 5.40pm (AEST), AAMI Park
Melbourne Storm (5) v Canberra Raiders (8)

Qualifying Final: Saturday, September 10 at 7.50pm (AEST), PointsBet Stadium
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (2) v North Queensland Cowboys (3)

Elimination Final: Sunday, September 11 at 4.05pm (EST), Allianz Stadium
Sydney Roosters (6) v South Sydney Rabbitohs (7)

So far I've heard that Canberra aren't happy with a short turn around compared to the favoured Sydney teams, and,

A 'computer error' meant that 1000's of Rabbitohs fans couldn't get tickets that were snapped up by roosters fans. Which was totally an accident and nothing to do with a nod, wink, hand-shake to Uncle Nick getting more of his fans there for an elimination final (tin foil hat).

Bad news is, no matter what, Eels can't be tossed from the finals this week.

Good news is, the rorters and the storm could be!

Finals without Manly is a Meaningless Event

Finals without Manly is like watching some else make love to your girlfriend

Each to their own !

Found this interesting, and it shows the part luck can play in having a finals run or completely blowing up at the end of the season

All those squads are reasonable healthy, Storm are worst hit, and they went from comfortably being 2nd and challenging Penrith halfway through the comp to outside the top 4 at the conclusion

We were up over a dozen out near the end

I’m finding it hard to get excited about the finals without the Mighty Manly-Warringah Seaeagles playing.

It all just seems so colourless and dull with out the Maroon and White on show.

I’ll watch the games, without enthusiasm though, bring on March 2023.

So the whole top 8 has 10 players unavailable of their top 17, We had that many unavailable in many games this year !

So if it was last year we only finished 1 win out of the 8 and a better f/a than the team that came 7th.

Can't believe Murray and Radley will play this week after their recent concussions. Radley was having convulsions on the field and Murray has been KOd several times. I don't care for their clubs at all but I hope those players will be OK.
Different HIA protocols, now that we're in finals mode I guess.

There is no way Radley should be playing. The mighty dollar still trumps medical.
