'ex' Barrett's Bulldogs

My bulldog mates want to know why we have a bulldogs thread are we sister clubs or something. You don’t see any manly related threads on there sight seriously get rid of it.

How about we close the thread when they stop blaming Des for all of their woes 5 years and two more coaches after he left the place.....

Who is the real coach at the Dogs anyway? Seems like Gus Gould has admitted that he picks the side.

You know something??

Gould basically coming out and admitting that he's the one in charge of the team and selections over at the Dogs shows to me that I was right about when he sold Barrett's virtues as a coach to Bozo. It wasn't so Barrett could get experience in coaching and further his development. No no..... It was to get him the hell out of Penrith so he wouldn't cause any damage (Gould already knew he couldn't coach after he took their reigning premier U/20s to 9th). And who better to send him to than the hated Manly??

And now that Gus is reunited with Zoolander at Belmore, he's realising once again that Barrett is not a coach, basically forcing Gould to play the behind the scenes puppet master.

In fairness to Barrett, I do think he would be much better suited to playing a Noel Cleal type role. He can definitely spot talent. He just can't coach it.

This to me is step one in Barretts departure
Yes, all part of the plan. They de-Trentify.* Then Shane Flanelette takes over, his son becomes the regular half, thus ‘Clearyfying’ the air.😉

*Trent becomes an assistant coach at the Goldy, where he will have ample time to work on the tan.

Who is Chris Rock then?
Barrett doubling up?

Maybe at the Dolphins... hold it Bennett isn't that stupid

Can't believe people are still going on about Barrett? The same.people who drop the "you're so negative" diatribe here too. It's laughable. @PONTIAN SEA EAGLE , your mates make a good point. It's petty, really.

What people forget, it was only when Barrett left that Scott Penn opened the purse strings to spend some of the huge profits he made on the sale of the league's club on infrastructure, staff, management that we began improving.

This is Trent Barrett's first year of managing his own roster at The Dogs, and budget it seems isn't a question. Once Mahoney and Kikau get there, let's see how he goes.

I have to say again, it's bad juju to laugh at anyone elses misgivings. We are now 3 wins, 2 losses this season and Tommy's out for who knows how long. I reckon humility is the key here.

I don't care about bad juju i'll more than happily keep laughing at barrett lol

As far as his coaching credentials go, it's hard to argue that its not been proven already

Yeah, Nah.

The Bulldogs losing is the 2nd best highlight of my weekend, after a Manly win.

The sooking about those 66-0 stubby holders was so magnificent, I went and ordered a few more.

He wont be there next year, be lucky to make it to Origin I'd say.

The pressure is already massive.

Lets face it he has won 4 from 28 or 14%. A record that makes Dean Pays 19 from 57, or 33, look like Ken Killer Kearneys Dragons record.

If Riff and Souffs run up cricket scores in the next 2 weeks the road trip to Brissie will be the decider.

After that its Roosters.

I am happy to tip his record to be 4 from 32 after round 8.
