Totally agree...as someone else on here said previously, we really couldn't afford both of them anyway. I'd like to of kept DCE but the positive is more dollars for the forwards.

I was a definite no to Hodkinson as I am concerned about how much more can poor old Trent's knees take. He can barely run now. However he is a great bloke and solid player who could lead the team around the park and take the pressure off Elgey as he develops as long as his body can hold on for two more years.

That will do me if we sign Hodkinson. The guy cannot run and only plays with stem cell injections in his knee every offseason. Might as well sign Douglas Bader.

Douglas Bader was a machine, and despite being dead would be a far better option than Hodko.

If memory serves me correct, he was on track for selection for England in rugby before the plane crash.

Highly recommend his autobiography, what a life.

I remember quite a few years ago having dinner at my mates house. His old man (who was a pom) was there. He knew Bader personally. We were all pretty pissed and when I left that night I was convinced Baders nickname was Old Ten Legs, which was pretty hard to figure out. I put it down to the pommy accent, later I read his autobiography and realised my mistake.

I was thinking more of the " good sort " angle , but she's pretty cluey and unlike Molan I think she's a real league tragic , sadly yes a Dragon fan.

Its the only reason I watch the Matty Johns show. Love her voice. Not sure if she's a pack of Malboro's a day and a bottle of cheap scotch girl, or it's just like that.

My grandfather flew with him. Thats how i got his autobiography. There is a picture of my pop with the squadron in the middle of the book.

Dam busters was a good read too.

Are you sure that wasn't Bader's biography, written by Paul Brickhill? I wasn't aware that Bader had written an autobiography.

Someone was interested in trying to entice Bryce Gibbs out of retirement, and rumour has it that it was Tooves, which is a real worry.
