At the time I thought he was a good buy and have no doubt if our starting Props were in fact starting that he'd be an excellent first change for about 10-15 mins to give the others a rest , him and Burgess could have done that well.

Instead they are run on and have to play bigger minutes , and therin lies the problem.

If everybody was fit I doubt Tooves would be playing Jake T and that is the one silver lining that he is getting minutes in the top grade and getting fast tracked.

I would take Jake as a sub over Mason and Burgess as he is our future.

If these guys are allowed to develop our halves problem could be dealt with quite easily, I think they are both 2 years away from getting to 1st grade so in the mean time we need at least one experienced half to fill the void.

If you think about it the last time we had a gun 20's team DCE and Foran were the halves, and we didn't have to wait all that long before they were both doing well in first grade.

Not sure if he is a troll or not, I checked some of his posts and he did post this nearly a fortnight a go and most people now believe Elgey is staying.

So not sure if he has inside information or not.

Elgey will not be joining us not because of the offer Joe has and the club has made (which is substantially better offer then GC) he has also been offered the first shot at half back.

In the meetings with Joe and his manager Tas he has been impressed with Joe but the problem is Tas and Kane have both heard the mail that Toovey will not be the coach next season.

He doesn't want to sign and have a new coach come in with different plans which don't include him so he is going to stay at the GC for lower money.

My sauce is I know the Kane's uncle and I can assure you the offer we have made him is a very strong offer.

This coaching thing has to be sorted out and the whiteanting of Toovey has to stop either back him or sack him as this is having a bigger impact on our recruitment than Joe.

As if any new coach wouldn't include elgey in his plans. He'd be the only number 7 in the team.

I would not be surprised if his dad was someone in the know in some SMALL way, he comes across on the forum as being very young.

Looks like Maloney will sign with the Chooks this week so I would add Jackson Hastings to that list of those that are available as he won't want to sit behind Maloney and Pierce.

They mentioned on Triple M on friday night that hastings to Penrith is on even though he is under contract.

If I was in charge of our recruiting I would be on the phone to his manager and see what's happening.

I see he was picked as fullback in the junior kangaroos but he is a potentially great half.

Maybe Bozo has an in with his dad as he coached him.
