[Resurrected] DCE is the worst halfback in the NRL

It is evident that since the Warriors game a month or so ago, DCE is well down on his earlier form this season. I do suspect that like many of our players he is playing busted and he is again suffering from not having another half to help control the game. The last month especially has been a similar story of bad ball control which means we rarely get repeat sets or the chance to build pressure. You cant blame DCE for all that and it is very easy to coach against Manly right now as teams now that our entire kicking game is all about him and they hammer him. I really hope that Cust comes back in and takes a share of running the game and support DCE. He tries hard, there is no denial but he still hast to take that leap to control games like the likes of Cronk do and Thurston did!

He wasn't even that good in origin.. he a weird player hes like Johnson he can be the best in the game on his day but his day rarely comes. Last night he was actually pathetic and out played by a rookie half, the week before same thing. This week we had alot more ball and good go forward yet he chose to sit behind the play the ball and watch walker do his best then when he did chime in he doesn't run or show and go he has no tactics or set plays he has got NOTHING! question is why? If he touched the ball as many times as walker we would have won easy yet..... then at the end hes all smiles fmd.
He needs to sit back and watch how he played in 2011 that was his best year or 2013. He had a brilliant kicking game and running game. He had a beautiful cut out pass that Wolfie used to love. He used to grubber for lyon all the time... i dont remember him kicking for suli or garrick, im sure he has but not enough it puts the defense in 2 minds so they stop rushing up. Like last night he should of grubber behind them multiple times yet.... maybe hes injured maybe hes saving it for the finals.. now we dont have the cattle to make a real dent any way

Dce is definitely injured and suffering from post origin hangover
He is need of a controlling 6
Oh wait we had one in green but some let him go
Dumbest decision apart from appointing Trent Barrett as coach from our club.
Ugly is one word to describe us next weekend and the scoreline we have put against us.

Come on, seriously. So he didn't play well when we thumped parra, or beat Melbourne in Melbourne or Newcastle and tigers by 30, played well against Canberra even though definitely ankle is busted. He re-injured it against Warriors and could hardly walk on it but has still played every game, he is a tough player.

People say he is no leader, well ask the players he leads and they will tell you differently, they ALL look up to him.

Will chambers was asked who impressed you the most during origin and he said Daley. Was really impressed with his leadership, Chambers plays under Cam so is a good guide

Im saying ,he has been playing injured since Origin 3.
Im not blaming any of our losses on him ,he has tried his heart out,doesn't stop him being injured though..

I posted last year when he was selected. He was playing poorly and i couldnt believe he was selected.Anyway i asked how would people feel if he played judiciously in origin 3 considering his lack of form .Not well but judiciously if you understand the difference im There you go , he played smart.

I agree DCE hasn't played his best last 2 weeks, but has stood up and been one of our best for the majority of the season.

Put Thomo, Turbo, a healthy Suli and a healthy DCE playing together, and Faniu and would be a lot different.

Daly is a support player, who plays well after other players established our game. If he has played well its because others have taken control of the game and he capitilises .

He is a very good support player but he never takes the ball to the line with intent to create, sometimes to evade . Many of his kicks in the red zone hit legs as his first intention is to score .generally Neither come off. His pet play is to feign accross field close to the line to put a big man in without being contacted like sirro or lane last year.

The ability to take the ball to the line increases the kicking game exponentially and cherry seens to refuse to take the ball on the run to kick gaining momentum. So instead he camps behind the line costing us momentum and metres but it is a deterant to the hooker to pass it to him. Foran was a master as was Jt

He and ben barba are similar players but cherry has a cannon for a boot and can tackle. Oh and he is a cleanskin .

He tries and its sad but his contract will be his downfall . It just has to deliver , and not support. He is the main man
 
Here is the difference.

Jake T is playing with injuries also, and looks somewhat tired and lost some impact post the Origin series.....but he still gets heavily involved and busts a gut for his teammates.

I'm not hating on DCE, just very disappointed. If i was paying top $$ for a player, i want return and that is somewhat who performs weekly (or atleast tries - not every game can go your way) at a high level. i think the comparison to Shaun Johnson has some merit, can be quite brilliant and also unsighted at times.

Last year i was calling for him to be dropped... and rightfully so. We should of rested him last night and let cust or croker have a crack im 100% sure they would of been better than daly
 
Dce apparently battling the same ankle injury... we should of rested him last week. To late now for excuses he needs a massive game like he did in origin 3 last year... we need that dce to turn up 2moro night if not the myth will grow
 
He better go to the line and come up with the right options and create uncertainty in the sardines defense tonight or we're dead ducks. Walker cannot start running sideways again. We need another option for kicker/playmaker at 5/8. I so hope Croker goes in there and push Walker to right center.

Also who changed the name of the thread.. myth or legend... the topic is about if hes a myth for the money hes on and how he goes missing or like last week did nothing for the 80
 
Let’s just all see which side the Sharks will score there tries ?
Left or right ?
On our left Walker organises the defence
On our right Dce organises the defence (our weak side. leaks tries when we win or lose)
Normally our middle is solid in defence
However we will see today how that goes against Woods, Fafitta and Braden Hamlin-Uele (underrated player)
Dce has to get his left side defensive structures right
If we can become a defensive fortress across the field (which we have proven in the past)
We also have the strike power to win
