Coronavirus sucks.. but the NRL lives!

Just talking to my brother who shares a flat with a Roosters player.
Their players are up in arms about having no fans to games because of the 500+ people rule, this means that the 600 fans who bring a packed paper bag to games won't be able to attend games now.

I agree. I can not understand the logic behind "we will close the gates from round 2"... oh hang on $$$$$$$$$.... shut out needs to be now. Not from #next week.

My sister is a Dr on the north shore and she is generally pretty cruisey when it comes to this sort of thing. Yesterday she said to me that this is going to be big and that she would not be going to the footy. Spreads so easily and so quickly.
I saw my GP two Mondays ago. I asked him what his thoughts were. And he didn’t mince his words. He said the government has known about the threat for months. He said we should’ve shut down our borders weeks ago. He said there is a good chance that 80% of the population will get it. But it would be the elderly and those going through chemo where your immune system is already compromised, that are at most risk.

I’m guessing it is a mansion wallpapered with $50 bills?

It’s an interesting situation (apart from the health issues), so companies that spend $100’s thousands or even millions (F1:for example) on sponsorship have essentially lost their money with cancelations. Then there is the issue closer to home being people put of employment. The question I have; if it is so serious, why are we waiting for Monday to implement these policies? In addition, why is the Prime Minister “going to the footy” after having contact with Peter Dutton this week?

Its only Friday , a lot happened today and a lot more might happen before Sunday.

Highly likely the PM will have it considering how close he would have been to Dutton.

Everyone who can and is healthy enough to attend the footy on Sunday - I hope you will! Gotta make the most of it because we don’t know how long it is until we can return to the fortress 🙁

There is no way ill be going to any large gathering for a while.
We must slow down the rate of infection. We just dont have the services to handle a large outbreak.
Oh and if your on medication get yourself stocked up. Nobody is talking about the supply of meds becoming an issue, because if they do there will be panic and they will run out. But why take the risk?
Lots of meds come from china - or at least used to.

Scomo
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has backflipped on his decision to watch the Sharks play in the NRL, saying he would now no longer attend.
