The NRL is reportedly considering taking a premiership game to the United States to kick off the 2023 season, with the Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs likely to make the historic fixture.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Manly owner Scott Penn is behind the bid to play a game in Los Angeles after similar plans fell through in 2019.

Long-time Manly fan Hugh Jackman and South Sydney owner Russell Crowe are expected to be part of the NRL's plan to market the occasions to an American audience.

How good would it be to attract an american fanbase to drive memberships, third-party payments and more deals!

Americans love Eagles, they know Eagles hunt Rabbits.

They also know Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) would take out the Gladiator (Russel Crowe)

If this gets confirmed early enough I will absolutely be there. Been planning a trip to the US for 2 years and keep getting shut down. Finally a good reason to delay it one more time.

Moving on: Trip-a-deal is a sponsor of the club so why wouldn't they consider a specialist trip? They may need a old, but wise, advisor though.

My understanding is that they are a package tour retail agent and don’t do specialist one off tours.
