Heard Alan Jones this morning going off that the NRL should've paid some sort of tribute to Bellyache the other night for coaching 300 games AND acknowledged Slater/Smith/Cronk/Hoffman for playing 1000 games between them, as if it was SO special.

Would anyone else have been given such a tribute? I think not. He almost made me puke!

Great idea, also let's honour Rodney Adler for 25 wonderful years in the business sector, and Eddie Obeid for his long service to NSW Parliament.

But seriously, in my view the Melbourne Storm have been as corrupt as Adler and Obeid - it beggars belief that there are stories being published that sugar coat Melbourne/bellamy/smith et al.

A good whack of a percentage for sure.

If Manly did something so epically corrupt I think I'd go close to walking away from footy.

Just heard on the news that Cameron Smith has not visited Alex McKinnon.
It's one thing to be a grub on the field, but for the Storm, Queensland, and Australian captain, the man who was there on the field screaming at the ref while Alex was lying there in dreadful trouble, to not go visit him is an absolute disgrace.
Appalling.
And while I'm at it, what's with the NRL making such a big deal of giving $1 per ticket to the Alex fund? Should be at least $5 and I'm sure they'd get huge crowds everywhere if it was a proper chunk.

Most rep players have just finished their year as pre-season begins - considering the pull 9 has in the game I am not sure there is much of a solution
