Caleb Navale

I think he's missing out because of Jazz.

Obviously Jazz is at hooker for some reason, but they are very much built in the same mould. I would expect him to take Jazz's place next year.

Great to see him named this week. But I would also like to see him get actual time on the field. Note to Seibold: Sitting him on the bench to make up the numbers and giving him 10 minutes at the end of the game won't show anybody anything. If you're going to pick him in the side, use him.
Agree. Minimum 40 - 50 minutes. If he gets the usual 10 - 15 mins then no way of knowing what his overall impact could be e.g. aerobic capacity, particularly after 15 - 20 mins.

I’d suggest that if he’s getting 10-15 minutes,we get a fair understanding of his aerobic capacity

He has barely been able to keep up with line speed in those 10-15 minutes he’s been given.

FFS, the guy is not at the aerobic capacity of a basic first grader YET. Stop glorifying him and expect a patchy short term stint, and anything above that will be bonus. I still remember when he “stopped” that try on the goal line early in the season, but was only a try situation because he couldn’t get back in the defensive line in time.

He played 30 minutes against the Knights last year, and 29 minutes against Souths. His stats for those games were 23 tackles/1 missed and 21 tackles/1 missed.

I don't think there's any plausible way he could've lost 20 NRL minutes worth of fitness, despite having a better overall NSW Cup season this year.

Someone is just going to tell you he lacks fitness even though he’s regularly been playing 80 minutes in reserves every week
I thought this at the start of the year, when I watched him live. I watched him live again today. He's massively improved in this department, and you could easily tell.

Meanwhile, Lodge is unfit as hell. There's really no logic going on here.
