Yes, the Broncos attacking plan of “pass it to Reece” was eerily similar to the “pass it to Tom” plan Trent put in motion back in his manly days.

Were the majority of Silvertails welcoming AOB to the role at Brooky? I would be surprised to know why after Newcastle's Performance this season I cant see anything promising unless im missing something,potential bullet dodged

Not that the dogs need him. But AOB will be very good as an assistant for the dogs. If he is a head coach is another conversation completely.
Who cares if we missed out on him he coached his last team to a spoon. Anyway everyone knows the dogs have a much bigger budget than what we do. Can’t believe how big this thread has become. Btw, there are lots of good potential assistants around. Melbourne have developed plenty. Anyway Seibold and co should be looking for emerging talent not has beens.
Maybe after a 5yr cooling off period. To much bad blood at the moment to even think about turtle neck.

The last one being a smokescreen for the first two.
Being in and around the club is one thing. Being an assistant or the head coach, is probably beyond the pale for Fungus Face Scott.

The guy’s not stupid; he’d know that the quickest route back to a head coaching role is to be an assistant at a successful club. Further, he’s already worked with Seibs and already has knowledge and knows what he’s about. He can learn systems at the Dogs and potentially take that knowledge into another job somewhere else. I assume money probably played a role but I also think a club on the up is more enticing than Manly at this stage of O’Brien’s career.
