Now Paul Kunt is saying that there is differing stories and the NRL Integrity Unit should step in. Also for Barrett to say that Hastings will not play NRL again this year is actually against his contract. Closing comment was watch out there is more to happen yet.

A nothing interview.
There were claims that there was a scuffle at training after DCE hit Hastings in the leg... and Hastings retaliated by striking DCE in the head. Then at 1am at the hotel after the Titans loss, following a visit to a strip club by some of the players, DCE confronted Hastings and blows were struck which had to be broken up by teammates.
Whether much of this is true remains to be proven.

A visit to a strip club? Really? Not sure it's a great look at any time, but after a loss like that?

DCE went in to his room at Gladstone to clear the air with Hastings then it got heated again ,DCE showed he wanted to sort it but again Hastings just doesn’t get it

Sorry man, the players have no excuses for the **** they dished up in the last 2 weeks. Hastings is just not important enough to affect 9 million dollars worth of Neanderthals holding a ball and running at a brick wall.

Interesting on NRL 360 tonight they were saying there are two very different sides to the story, one Manly and Barrett are stating and a different view of the events that happened from Hastings point of view. Interesting is Hastings room mate in the hotel Lane has agreed with Hastings point of view after being interviewed.

Ikin reckons the intergrety unit should get involved and get to the bottom on what actually happened, as it currently stands Hastings probably won't find another NRL side

Didn’t Hastings tweet something like “Trust the process”?

Could be more than meets the eye. But Manly will be backing their $10m man all the way if things get messy.

Instead, maybe they should all kiss and make up, hand Hastings the 6 jersey and move on by carving up the opposition.

Jacko is finished at Manly.
I hope he gets a good cheer though when he runs out for Blacktown.
He is a player with a lot of potential, I always recall move he put on when a youngster at the Chooks, he put a perfect kick for his unmarked winger to catch and score. He was probably still a teenager at the time.
I wish him well, just not at Manly, we can't afford any distractions.

He hasn't thrown him under a bus, quite the opposite really. The bus would have seen Jacko on the street, with 0 chance for another team and 3,000 leaks about everything he has done to the club.

However, the Neanderthals have grunted and found their lack of form and credibility sit on the shoulders of one Jackson Hastings and there is not a lot Twenty can do to maintain the locker room but to let Jackson go and appease them.

I am sure Twenty would like to "fix" it, from his words, but he has to take responsibility and maintain the wider teams view that he is credible.

Yes and so he should, as the way he spoke on Sunday before the game and at the presser was not impressive at all. It was about time he cleared the air and he did it well today.

I do disagree about the leaks to the media. The media was pressing for information. At the presser Cherry was questioned and Barrett shut it down.
This is how I interpret it. Several previous incidents had happened with Hastings since he signed with Manly. Then Gladstone happened with Cherry, becoming the final straw. Hastings gets cut. The story fast became clickbait with everyone having an opinion, including legitimate mental health concerns for a young player. DCE being involved makes it an bigger story.
Barrett has a presser and explains the support in place for Hastings listing documented incidents over the past 18 months. It didn't sound like it was BS.
The thing that frustrates me most about the current situation is that the players were at a strip joint in Gladstone after a loss. I know it's a bloke thing but it's a bad look for the club and we don't need any more bad.
