Yeah mate I agree…. just thought you meant we had no quick Centres.
Yeah it's a top 8 roster, if we can ever get our marquee player to play 25 games then we are still top 4.
Few things Ben turbo needs time in nsw cup for 12 months find out his spot and if he a first grader which currently he is not. Zach Fulton will feature but in 17 not as starter. Kaeo Weekes needs to be trialled in centres and nsw cup given his class in final nrl game.
Signings wise not heard alot but Tuilagi will probably start and condon coming will provide depth along with Zach Fulton, there is possibly Nathiele Roache as hooker depth also.
I have hope Weekes us in the centres gives us some real speed and skill out there.
How do we let go Foran, Taupau and Walker and not have any money ? Can't understand it.

May not be everyone's preference but becoming more and more obvious as the newer type and evolving footy style of play requires a different type of playing approach . Especially for a much more agile and mobile forward pack . Line speed [ and sustained ] in defence really essential . This is where Manly are quite off the pace at present . Alioia , Tent . Haumole , Jake in the main are up for it but need more then those 4 in the ruck area . . Back Manly 3 , Koula , can be top shelf . D C E , well also obvious with the reality there . A lot really does depend on Josh Schuster getting his mojo back in whatever position he plays and especially if it is at 6 . Weekes could provide a bit of an X factor . Tuilagi hopefully can be an asset , a couple of other good promising juniors . Benchmark is there , Manly even with their best available line up have a bit to go to adapt to the again changed playing format . Really going to need a serious reset both on the coaching and playing sense .
Agree, wishful thinking we have a few 'surprise' signings. Not sure why people think Weekes will start centre. Des is the coach and it will be Koula/Harper or Koula/Parker. Aprt from Saab not being available until mid-year that looks pretty good.
Because some people can see he has more speed and ability than other centre options
But does the coach?

Blistering speed. Great hands, with fullback / fight-eight skill. Decent defense. Think a young Jamie Lyon. Plus, you want to fit him in the team or risk losing him. MUCH more potential than Parker, Tuipulotu OR Harper.
Imagine him / Garrick one side, Koula / Saab the other for Turbo to slice through with.
Be an absolute thing of brilliance.

I wasn't disagreeing (although Koula/Weekes may have a few defensive challenges) however I just cannot see Des doing it.

If he's good enough he's good enough! The roosters played Walker at that age, we need to develop young players asap regardless of their age, this boy has amazing talent!
Latu is too young at this stage. Needs another year. We must get like Penrith and develop the top kids we have, or invest in a few top ones and be patient. Signing castoffs never works.
