2020 hooker (and Fainu disc.)

I could be wrong, however, this signing brings me a very unique feeling. One that levi will appreciate our club and our club will appreciate Danny's services. He may well be our hooker for many years to come. I personally believe he will have a ripper of a year as he has a point to prove and a place to call home.

These situations, and these sort of neglected players, are ones that develop as champions with exceptional players around them and an exceptional coach in the drivers seat.

Welcome as a new Sea Eagle Danny and best of luck in 2020.

I did, had a phone interview from someone in the US and flew to Indonesia for a great contract with a Company I never heard of

Yeah love the social media picking apart des picking licha over cook about only one he got wrong in 15 years of coaching. He turned many journeyman into more than solid first graders.
Levi has ability but in a team on loop of rebuild he got lost no doubt.
He was named in holden cup team of year 2014 and 2015 plus he played for his country he got ability. He does not need to do alot here given he feeding ball to monsters in marty t and afb and giving dce, jake and Tom ball when they want it.
The pressure to get fainu case sorted does not rest on our season fate and not on trying to make specialist halfs into a 9. I still hope fainu is sorted by round 10 he a special talent imo.
Ipape and interesting one he good raw talent he may be a smoky off bench.

Maybe Des is being kept at arms length from negotiations in an attempt to prevent the salary cap squeeze rearing its head. Pure speculation.

Levi could be a great signing. He has a tendency to make selfish plays inside the attacking third as well as taking the wrong option when on the front foot (passing to forwards rather than halves on quick plays). He can tackle, has a decent pass and just enough spark. With some proper coaching in a strong system he could be a great player for us.

Sorry, and Toovey as well ! Pound for pound maybe the toughest player to have ever played the game.

I actually see a bit of Dragons McInnes with Levi, and a bit of Cookie as well (not quite the explosiveness as yet - but may come). I think he'll be amazing.

Bennett also knocked back DCE in the last couple of years of his first stint at Brisbane. Despite having Alfie for all those years, apparently Cherry was "too small" to make it in the NRL.

He's now a premiership winner, Manly and Qld captain and current Kangaroos halfback.

The club must be either very confident of his innocence to bother moving him close to Narrabeen or he is one of a few that have been moved together.
