Agreed . It also gives refs more control over the outcome... this games a prime example, gifted bunnies good field position with a few penalties back to back and they scored 3 tries... basically whoever the refs walk down the field will score the most points

Ponga is being shown up badly, turbo eats him for breakfast.

Good game but absolutely both teams defence is so poor.

I never watched much of Holden cup because it was a joke Mickey mouse competition of give it to the big kid to score and now nrl has been turned into the same. Another brilliant initiative Turdy that's turned the game into touch footy.

Turbo is so much better than myth boy... however, if you can't get on the field it doesn't matter how brilliant you are. Myth boy at our back would have been better than Turbo in the grandstand

It's just so sad. This is not finals footy as I know it. There is no determination, no starch in defence. It's just who can hold onto the ball and maintain possession while they run in tries you would see in an u8's match on Saturday morning.

Momentum is king in the new game of touch. Get behind early, conserve a bit of energy and give away a few six agains. Then BAM! Start playing properly, get dubious even ups and put on try after try. When your in the 20 it’s very hard to stop a semi competent attack now with the speed of the play the balls and weight of continuous possession.
