2020 Finals discussion thread

Munster gonski now , medial ligament they say, that’ll be his season.

That will also see a re-shuffle for Qld. Ponga likely to 5/8 alongside DCE with Holmes to fullback.

I did actually see one story today that suggested Qld will try to convince Smith to come out of Origin retirement to play, though who captains the side if that happens will be interesting. Smith would probably be a better captain than Cherry, but it would be a big kick in the teeth to take it from him.

Nah, DCE will just put on his big media smile and say how much he is honoured to be playing under the sCam and so happy he is back for one more. DCE is the ultimate cuck and is nowhere near the captain sCam is. AND THEY BOTH KNOW IT.

Trbojevic nominated his good mate and Parramatta skipper Clint Gutherson as the man to get the job done against Queensland, starting on November 4 at Adelaide Oval.

Fvck now we’ve got our own Queen Trbo grrrrrrrrrr

I think the Raiders, if they can get past the cheats next week , have the drizzle's measure.
It will be a great match up.. i think the rorters will get them. Losing 3 in a row i dont see it... I'll be rooting for Ricky's boy's 100% its great watching that bloated hack trent Robinson squirm and flap about in the coaches box. Did anyone catch the coaches challenge from him? haha and when he called Mansour a soft prick

Jeez, watching the finals is kind of depressing it just reminds me how very far off the pace Manly are ..... the gap between the top 6 and the rest is massive.

A huge gap , massive really , so much for the salary cap evening the competition out.

I guess the nrl got what they wanted.. a touch footy comp...
Defence?? Whats that..
The "best" teams in the comp have so far put up combined game scores of...

Rooster panthers - 57 points
Raiders sharks -52 points
Eels storm -60 points

To me that's an embarrassing total for what is supposed to he the best teams playing...

Remember the days when the best teams had score lines of 18-16 or 14-10??
Bring back hard, grinding ,defensive footy, rather that over this flashy under 20s style bullsh!t we have now

Some manage their sombreros better than others
It’s the ability to source rich TPA’s , Drizzle ( one team town) , Broncos ( one team town), and of course the most connected club of all the Rorters. To a lesser extent but probably just as important the power of the massive Penrith Leagues club which has the ability to pour millions in to their football club.

In the modern era I don’t how any other club can buy their way in to success so really it’s putting together a talented bunch of young guns BEFORE they become superstars and just hope you can get success from them before they are seduced by the Roosters million a season for everyone scenario.

I agree Mark, and it has always pissed me off that we unload promising juniors to buy mediocre more established players ... plenty of examples over many years. Yes some clubs have access to more $$$, you still have to manage what you have, well.
Donkies haven't, Rorters and Storm have ... and Panthers have a huge talent pool and wealthy leagues club.

Donkeys are ****ed in the head office area , **** management , **** recruiting ( all the good QLD players go to the Drizzle ), but they have LOADS of money so they’ll be back.

We are seriously probably if we are honest with ourselves a few years away from being a genuine threat, we are so far behind so many other clubs.

We may make the bottom of the 8 next year but we go out like Cronulla early.

2022 think is where we truly start to move up the ladder.
