Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles

Free to Air: 7 games

Teams they play twice: Knights, Eels, Raiders, Titans, Wests Tigers, Roosters, Broncos, Storm, Panthers.

Teams they play once: Rabbitohs, Cowboys, Warriors, Dragons, Sharks, Bulldogs.

Starting point: Trent Barrett couldn't have asked for a better start to the season with the Sea Eagles set to meet just one top-eight team from 2017 (Parramatta) in the first six weeks.

Tough run: Things start to get tricky in Round 15 when they travel to Wollongong to take on the Red V before they earn an Origin-influenced week off. Either side of their Round 17 bye the Sea Eagles are set to face the Panthers and Storm, with fellow top-eight sides the Roosters, Panthers (again) and Sharks to follow in the next three weeks.

Show-stoppers: Manly will take on the Rabbitohs in the Round 3 double-header at ANZ Stadium, while they'll be hoping for a better result when they rekindle their rivalry with the Broncos in the Round 10 double-header at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane's festival of footy. The Round 20 game against Penrith at Lottoland should be a cracker after the Panthers knocked Manly out of the 2017 finals in controversial circumstances.

Origin impact: (Bye: Round 17) Their Round 13 showdown with the Cowboys looks like a blessing on paper, but the Lottoland clash might be a danger game for Manly depending on how many of their players are selected in the Origin squads. The Trbojevic brothers, Dylan Walker and Daly Cherry-Evans are all in contention, while North Queensland will have Johnathan Thurston at their disposal given he has retired from the representative arena.

SEA EAGLES

Ticks

— Between rounds 18 and 23, the Sea Eagles only play away from Lottoland once (round 21 v Sharks).

- Timeslots are pretty well spread out: Two Thursdays, four Fridays, 10 Saturdays and eight Sundays.

— Play seven games against teams from last year’s bottom four.

Crosses

Eight six-day turnarounds.

— Two away games to finish the season.

— Have to play Roosters, Storm and Broncos twice.

That’s actually not bad. A nice run of home games leading into the end of the season (hopefully finals). I still don’t know how we play both Newcastle and Parra twice in the first 8 rounds though!

Raiders eels and knights are half our games after 12 rounds

Also where's round 26?

Wow I can't believe it! The NRL has come up with a good draw finally. Most Lottoland (and other Sydney based) games are at kid friendly times so looks like I will be able to get along to a number of games in 2018. Well done NRL.

Round 9 through 13 is tough, Melbourne, broncs raiders and cows . Need to get out of the blocks early and win at least 2 of these should have us sitting nicely with a good draw to start and the backend.

To be honest, that's a very good draw!

Highlights

Play two games against "weaker sides" Tigers, Titans, Canberra, Penrith, Knights and only cowboys and sharks once.

Usual tough away games we get to play at home with no return game - Cowboys, Dogs

Heaps of Sunday and Saturday afternoon games - 12 games!

Not too many string of away games back to back

Not too many patches were we play the tough sides for weeks in concession - broken up with a few tough games and a few easy games, hopefully leading to no long stretches of potential win less games. Hardest part of draw around rd 9 to 15. Made harder with Broncos home game taken to suncorp

Low lights

Taking two home games away! The Brisbane double header and the warriors game. Normally we have such a good record against both of these sides at Brookvale. Two possible very winnable games made a lot harder, plus the players would normally not have to travel either. Also robbing fans of home games. I really hate this.

#fakedraw

The is no way that is the real draw ........ Broncos only having 5 Friday night games.

The general manager ( who I know well) must be absolutely spewing over this , all those FTA games and Friday night corporates ( selling out their boxes) was always a huge money spinner!

Yep, thats the tough part of the season. Broncos game should of been scheduled for Brookvale. At least Cows game is at home, also have taken rd 14 match against warriors to their home ground and play st george at WIN stadium in rd 15!

I hate this, taking very winnable games away from home, making players travel overseas when they should be playing at home, robbing fans of home games, because we cant even make enough money playing in our own stadium. ridiculous!
