2018 - Full draw ?

I don't want to say I told ya so but......oh who am I kidding? Two years ago when it became known that the NRL was going to be in charge of the draw I said that nothing will change and the league will continue to pander to Nein's wants and shock horror.....I was right.

I guess this is how we can fly under the raider

Other than the first game I hope the knights do well this year.

It'll be a good news story and nine will be pissed they only have 1 game.

Yes this is the line I just heard the Talkin Sport 'team' explaining to a knights fan, not very convincingly.
Problem being, you have to get to the top 4 first, and the more tough games the harder that is.
Who would volunteer to play Storm twice instead of Tigers twice?

Nobody of course!

I would never try to argue that everything is fair. Realistically it is impossible to have 16 teams play 24 rounds and even pretend it's going to be fair for everyone.

If you are borderline top 8 or top 4 it might make the difference when you look back and see how many top teams you had to play, but I just don't think the draw is going to decide the premiers thats all.

When we were going into a season hoping to finish on top of the ladder we might have thought that Souths or Melbourne had an easier run but it was only going to be the difference between 1st and maybe 3rd anyway.

My point is if you are a serious contender (when all the other teams are worried about how many times they have to play you) these things don't affect you too much.

what is up with Kelly?
Nothing up with him. He's a rookie, and while he was solid enough he's not what you'd call a game breaker. If we have him and Parker in the centres we are going to easily have the least experienced pairing in the league. That concerns me somewhat. Not a lot of depth in that department for us though, unless we go for a Wright - but neither Matt nor Jono overly excite me either.

All I know is that there are three clubs we always (well, 90% of the time) beat - Cronulla, Worriers and Easts. Next season we only play Cronulla and the Worriers once so we'll have to make up those two wins somewhere.
