    2026 halves plan

Watching tonight’s game and Turbo going down injured I’m thinking we should consider Sean O’Sullivan or Brad Schneider. Hoppa to play fullback and Turbo as our 14. Turbo on after 20 mins and play a roaming role and 20 mins after half time then put him on ice for the following week. Keeps the cap...

Agree, not a this week change but a thought for next year.

Lawton filling second row atm, Burbo second row next year, Corey Waddell or is there another up and comer for the spot?

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

I’ll say Siebold has realised early on we are top heavy contracted with Turbo, DCE, Jake and Oka. Need some great players around on reasonable contracts and the you think Garrick,Saab,Kolua, Brooks and you need to bring in Talua, Hoppa, CKH, N Brown, Liddle to balance the cap and still bring you...

    RCG

Great forward but can’t see how we could include him in our cap (we’re not the Roosters). Lodge is a gamble with injuries but 2 years. $400k deal would be great value if he was available all year. Showed his go forward in our last two games

    Ugly win was beautiful

Great win, talk Saab might be available next week. Does Hoppa go to bench or do we need big bodies so Hoppa misses out?

    James graham…

James Graham, Jetstar have specials on Bali deals. Could you help out some bulldog supporters for their end of season trip?

    Lehi Hopoate

Hoppa is a real footballer, some players only play a position or left or right side of field. He swapped sides to cover Saab and got a little caught out but 19 and the experience of finals is invaluable. Will bulk a bit more over next 2-3 years and will not get pushed back in kick returns. A...

Please help me, a very concerned manly supporter of 58 years Koula issue

Interesting tonight, Bulldogs has a small pack and we got over them, we were dominated in the backs as we are all speed and no size. If you swap Vega in who will s a beast do you get the Hoppa try who was push over the sideline and lost 5m on most kick returns? I would like Garrick at FB, Talua...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Lodge played well tonight. Like Turbo great signing and plays great but off the field a lot. A gamble again but two year contract and no injuries and Lodge and Paseka could be our Loata and Fisher Harris like the panthers.

    2024 Player Farewells

Jazz from Warriors coming next year to cover prop/hooker which is a bit of a Lawton replacement. Thought Humphrey looked good but you can’t blame him moving being behind DCE/Brookes and Crocker/CTK at hooker. We really need a left side second row player to bookend Oka.

    Lodge, you Monster

Agree on the two year deal, Saints talked to him but didn’t look like anything came of that. A decent contract but not a bank breaker, he would give a bit of leadership around the up and coming guys like Woods did for last two years as well.

    No Tommy and Saab

    1. Hoppa 2. Clayton 3. Kolua 4. Garrick 5. Talau You could swap Hoppa and Kolua but I would say Kolua played with a lot of strapping and may be still carrying injury. Clayton has been killing it in reserves so he has earned a start, another speed freak player.

    Dummy half - 3 into 2

I read a season or two back that DCE was first in all the fitness test and Crocker was second. To be the first you only have to be better than the second so you can see Crocker driving the standards and his skill is not naturally given it is through hard work. In my opinion he has a future after...

Ryan Sutton coming off major injury and Canterbury letting him go. Just over minimum deal to keep his career alive and you might turn rocks into diamonds.

Back 5 with Koula returning ?

I know this is a back 5 thread but to be fair Taula has played centre and wing and swapped between and has taken on whatever position he has been given, great that your winger will play centre the next week due to injury. Defence wise Ben Turbo is not great and puts pressure on the outside. Ben...

    [Resurrected] Paseka

I don’t mind Paseka and Alioli starting the game and doing the hard grind and then Brown coming in to lift the tempo and Bully with good leg speed turning the opposition over till the starting props come back. Manly has good halves and speed all over the park so they need to be solid and make...

    Jamie Humphreys

For 2025 Manly could look to Titans and pick up Tanah Boyd, he is behind Foran, Brimson, Campbell and they have Melbourne Rebels rugby half next year coming. He would cover Blacktown with ease and might see more firsts opportunity with Manly with DCE reps duty or touch wood injury. He has shown...

    2026 recruitment & retention

We have Hoppa and I keen to see Clayton get a crack in firsts. Siebold had some time in Rugby I wonder if there is a Leo Thompson type player that he could identify and bring across to Manly on a reasonable contract.

    Lodge, you Monster

Pakeska, Aloli, Brown and Bullemour are a good starting pack with Sipley as a straight replacement for injuries. We really need to think of the reserve grade and try to pick up 3 developing props with the hope that they can come into the side in a year or two. If you have DCE, Turbo, Jake...
