Ugly win was beautiful

Down and out
At times flat
But some big moments
Manly hang tough - wanted it more
That's what was inspirational
Some big plays against the run of play
Brooks - well the blind pass to DCE was near good as it gets...
I just say we stick together, don't give up on these Champions ☝️

Yeah, how bout running into the wind against a Burton kicking game and finding a way to come from behind?! Mental!

The word is resilience! The stats of the game indicate that this win was very much against the spin.

What they managed to do oh so well is when the dogs had the ascendency, we hung in and took our chances,

The try that wins the game was all about self belief, Tommy bravely took it to the line got an off load, it gets out to Koula and he did what he does so well, blinding speed in broken play!

Then really good game management to see off the dirty dogs.

Very sweet win!!

Little hoppa got smashed how many times by kikau but kept getting up.What guts i love this kid.
There is talk about how Brave some players are like Croker and Parker
Yes they are Brave
But some players are not only Brave they are also BRILLIANT MATCH WINNING PLAYERS
Players like Little lightweight Hoppa who kept on getting smashed all day but was still able to make a big play that lead to a spectacular try that turned the momentum of match around Manlys way

That was the Dogs grand final in a way, they could not really play any better than what they did.
It made that win so satisfying to be able to get that win when we can actually do a lot better.
Credit to Lehi for hanging in there after Dogs really targetted him, could have used a Vaega type today, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I noticed that Koula did not really do a lot coming out of our half, wonder if that early cruncher from Skelton caused an issue.

Great win, talk Saab might be available next week. Does Hoppa go to bench or do we need big bodies so Hoppa misses out?

Reminds me of the 1978 Sheridan stand chants

I thought the brilliance outshined the ugliness to get the result, some clutch plays from individuals in Hoppa and Koula, along with that scrum play try and the put down by Talau for his try.

The middles were good in Tent, Lodge and Bully, Guaca was enormous with the ball, Croker and Lawton all efforts with their defensive efforts.

Hopefully Turbo is better for that run and is good to go next week as they will need him.

Good question. However Seibs in the pressr did state that Saab has not put any weight whatsoever on his leg since he was injured.
He seemed doubtful.
