James graham…

The story was he was worried when he thought the game would be at Brookie and wanted to make sure there were some dogs there - when they got the game he lived up to his word

Graham wore his heart on his sleeve in commentary duties for Triple M, as seen in a clip that was shared on social media of Manly's match-winning try. Graham was standing next to Dan Ginnane as the commentator encapsulated the finals drama with a brilliant call of the decisive play from the Sea Eagles. It came to a crescendo when Koula planted the ball down for the try and Ginnane threw his arms in the air in triumph, with Graham seen punching the wall of the commentary booth next to him, before looking on with a shattered sense of disbelief.

Well he did play for them and he was a great player.

However I also recall the 2012 finals’ game where he was giving it to Jason King verbally and not in a friendly way.

That was when the ‘lickers were in their triumphalist, ‘We stole your two time grand final-winning coach (plus key support staff) and see absolutely nothing wrong in an ethical sense with that action’ phase.

So no sympathy from me.
