Released: Brad Parker, Cooper Johns, Latu Fainu, Morgan Harper, Ray Vaega, Aaron Woods, Ben Condon, Dean Matterson, Kelma Tuilagi, Lachlan Croker, Morgan Boyle, Samuela Fainu, Zac Fulton
In terms of affordable options we could bring in
1) Kayal Iro - off contract at the end of 2024 but stuck behind Ramien and Talaki and could look at a release. Hugely talented, should be playing firsts. Would walk into my 2024 Manly backline
2) Connor Watson - I know, I know, last thing we need is another crock.....its certainly a risky punt but the upside is there. Would be a great 14 option and with his history wouldn't command the world.
3) Naufahu Whyte - averages over 200m a game in reggies and a over 90% tackle efficiency. Young, hard middle forward with upside
This right here with the NEW spots being the key thing we need to address. I’d keep Croker as a depth player or even still part of the hooker rotation, but he can’t continue to play 80 minutes as we all know it isn’t sustainable. If Gordon isn’t the guy to rotate him with, then we need to sign someone because I think Lawton is too injury prone and slow now to fulfill that role.Realistically:
01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Jason Saab
03. Reuben Garrick
04. Tolu Koula
05. Jaxson Paulo
06. Luke Brooks
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
* Picks itself really, but then we go to the forwards
08. Jake Trbojevic
09. NEW
10. Taniela Paseka
11. Haumole Olakau'atu
12. NEW
13. Josh Schuster
14. Karl Lawton
15. Josh Aloiai
16. Sean Keppie
17. Matt Lodge

Honestly mate, that's the slowest, most lumbering group of plonking forwards in the entire NRL.May as well throw Condon, Boyle in there. It's unfortunate that Latu & Samuela are not in the mix. If there are no new signings, this would be my preferred 2024 team.

It's not that different to your team, except you're hoping to add two recruits (unsigned as yet). Keppie can be good on his day, but is error prone, as is Aloiai. Also, I'd prefer GCKT over Lawton who has not impressed in his stints as dummy half.Honestly mate, that's the slowest, most lumbering group of plonking forwards in the entire NRL.May as well throw Condon, Boyle in there.
Where's Keppie?
Blacker is worth a gamble on for sure.I would make a play for the Panthers ressies props. Either Blacker or Henry. Both big, mobile units. Blacker's try against Blacktown was impressive. Given Lodge is out for 1/2 2024 and apparently won't be in the cap we have a bit of room. $300k should get us Blacker!!!
Would also like Naufua Whyte from the Goosters who was rumoured on here a while back.
If available, Best would be a very positive purchase. As far as attacking no. 9s go, Ipape would be worth chasing. However, I think Flanagan is trying to secure him for the Dragons. My side would be.
