He may well be signed/sign. However there is a post on the league unlimited site that matches your post pretty much word for word. Anyone can look for rumors and sprout them off as there own, or as you put it, having an anonymous mate in the room.

I hope the @Phantom is right , we sadly lacked a real go forward Prop this year, and I think big Willy could fill the bill nicely (and cheaply).

I think with the shake-up and the delicate player negotiations we'll probably get the player news all at once, as everything is contingent on something else.

Hope it rolls in our favour. Be good to have Mason for a season in any case, if only for the laughs.

I am a long time reader of this forum but first time poster. I have confirmation that Willie Mason signed a contract with Manly this afternoon - this is not a rumour but FACT. Additionally, unfortunately Choc Watmough will not be with Manly next year and Trent Merrin is being chased by 3 clubs and his preference is to do a deal with Manly if possible.

Geez for a contract that was signed days ago they're taking their bloody time announcing it.
