Yes but the calls to sack walker are premature

I know it is not the way of the world but a bit of paitence would be beneficial for all
The club has played it perfectly they have effectively stood him down. If he pleads not guilty he should continue to be stood down until it goes to court.

The difference between this and Brett’s case is that there were no eye witnesses to any wrong doing from snake. While it’s been reported there is on this occasion with walker.

If it’s true he can’t play for our club again

One woman dies in this country EVERY week from domestic violence. Statistics tell us that it is rarely, if ever, the first attack.

Those who are suggesting that this alleged incident is low on the scale or might have been provoked or whatever other excuse is being made to move the boundary of acceptability, should be very aware of this reality which has zero to do with supporting a football team.
Get back in your boxes.
Bloody well said.

The nrl does it all this pr about women in the game etc etc it means jack **** unless they take are hard stance against DV. Any player found guilty of DV against a woman should have the papers marked banned for life.

Any man who raises a fist in anger at a woman is a dog in my book.

Plenty more differences Cam -
That scamming family and girl had previously tried milking the system on numerous occasions.....as opposed to a fiancee carrying a baby.
Snake had a very, very solid off field record making the situation feel way out of sync....Dylan's record is what it is.
1 case was all about monetary gain, the other was simply protection.

Walker as a player - have been a fan and personally always into the "Give people - (not players) - a fair go until proven guilty".
Common sense gives a fair indication of the outcome here.

Only briefly heard on the local radio yesterday morning Gorman "s interview , seemed a good and measured attempt to put things into some realistic and sensitive context . First priority of course to provide all reasonable support to Dylan and full understanding and concern for his family "s welfare also but my impression from his interview is that the prospects of Dylan having a future involvement with the Manly club were very diminished . Just a sad situation all round of course and i guess that the only very minor consolation is that this difficult matter has occurred in the middle of our ' normal " off season and not at the beginning or during next season when the opportunity to contend with the fall out would have been even more adverse . Just have to be a bit philosophical i guess , at his best , a high quality player and with good utility value but is now hard to reconcile more continuing unacceptable conduct by him and with the means then for him to continue representing and to be part of the Sea Eagles .

Good centre, **** defender, definitely expendable. Many better, more consistent options. We won't rely on his energy any more, we only needed him because of it. Let's try get Will Hoppa home

I don't think walker is that bad of a defender. He kept inglis under wraps in origin

I thought his defence improved from his second year when he returned to his natural position at centre.

Definitely improved, but he continually arm grabbed. Reckon there’s a hell of a lot better defenders out there

And who was saying its been a positive & scandal free pre-season?!

Manly player Dylan Walker 'questioned by police'

Police confirmed a 24-year-old is currently at Manly Police Station assisting with enquiries.

9News sports reporter Danny Weidler said the man is understood to be Walker, who plays as a back for the Sea Eagles.

The Origin player has had a difficult season. He suffered a fractured eye socket in Round 11 after getting into a fistfight with Curtis Scott from the Storm.

Dylan Walker fractured an eye socket in an on-field fistfight earlier this year.

The NRL has been informed.
Hi, what's all this walkers on stuff about? Cheers

Is he really a 'Sea Eagle'? Has he upheld the culture you hope this club stands for, both on and off the field? This is not an isolated incident.
Would you want him as a neighbour?

Him or life member Anthony Watmough?

Walker every day of the week. He is Manly and needs our support

Des knows the cop shop drill
This column has no sympathy for Dylan Walker if he is found guilty of domestic-related common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but he does have a good man in his corner in Manly coach Des Hasler. It wasn’t a family member or a player agent who drove Walker out of Manly police station at 11pm on Thursday night, it was Hasler. Those who know him well say Hasler has now been to every northern beaches cop shop to escort players home after an incident. Hasler cancelled plans to attend the Affinity Diamonds Christmas party to be by Walker’s side.

The reclusive Hasler is no fan of the social scene. His wife, Christine, arrived without him. Manly are lucky to have him back.

The above was from Danny the Worms column today

Cheap shot I know decent people that have had children that have had problems. Leave his parents out of it. I expected better from fellow silvertails!
I see where you are coming from ,maybe its a low blow .But if one of my boys was consistently f@cking up & assaulted women and my daughter was up for manslaughter ,I myself would be questioning my parenting choices or lack there of.
I am FAR from perfect and still a relatively young parent (7,6,2) The amount of sh!t ,lazy parenting around blows my mind .
