Walker to 5/8 our X factor for finals

Haven't heard anything official but based on the footage and his reaction looked very much like a high ankle sprain. 2-8 weeks depending on severity.

I believe it's the same ankle he broke. Let's just hope it isn't anything like that again. If he is back within 6 to 8 weeks is be surprised.
Force wasn't the same and didn't appear to be any twisting involved. Not a doctor but if I was a bookie I'd put the over/under at 4 weeks.

May be a foot sprain. If it is, it looked grade 2 or 3 ish.

I heard from a bloke that has a mate who dates a girl who read on twitter a post forwarded from Insta liked by a physiotherapist who treated the left finger of a gardener who mowed the lawn at Dessies neighbours place it was his neck. Pretty reliable info i recon.

Word on the street is that it’s his (previously uninjured) third ankle.

It’s a definite foot or ankle injury, with a recovery time certain to be between 1 and 12 weeks.

12 weeks is just about his season gone. No match fitness at the business end of the season will hurt him
I agree. Des now needs to make a decision on who will play 5/8th for the rest of the season.
It will probably by Croker and I guess Cust comes into the interchange.
Unless Des takes a huge gamble on Schuster - unlikely thou.

Such rotten luck for Walkz, he hasn't been the same runner of the ball since he had that injury in PNG. If we do make it to the finals and he is back it could be a huge in, but if he doesn't make it then it could have been the last game for us given his deal was a 1 yr extension for this yr only? Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery as we need our full strength team to push further than last yr

Two year extension fortunately .
Sirro is better at playing on the edge than at 5/8
Des will go with Cracker at 5/8 , He has said before he is quality player and will do the job
