Upgrade Barrett now!!!

There is no doubt that since the uncertainty of TB re-signing the form of the team has really nose dived apart from the Roosters game. We need an answer from him and soon because if the team is not playing for him we are dead ducks this season

Anyone suggesting today's performance was because of Barrett is living in denial. Today had nothing to do with the coach ...it was all the players. They were lacklustre at best. Today was not about the forwards it was the backline...most of their defence was totally unacceptable and not only let themselves down, the fans down, but totally a coach killer, a few of them were found wanting in a big way - out muscled out played.

Having said that, didn't most of this forum think we wouldn't make the final 8. So on that basis have we over achieved?

Barrett is doing OK and I would like him to stay. Sure I can't wait for the disagrees but I was born a Manly supporter and will die one. Barrett brings a level of fresh air to Narrabeen and with a club of youngsters he has a solid head to manage numerous egos.

We need to think without our Manly supporter hat on and read the game for what it was. We were not good enough!

This is the same team that have the number 1 tries scored for and best goal line defence only a couple of months ago. When we bashed up sharks on their home turf we looked a tough gritty side full of confidence. We need to get it back. The players can do it but its up to them. If they are good enough they will make the semis, Destiny is in their hands. Need to get the belief back and passion and energy.

Seem to be just goung through the motions which is hard to watch when in other games especially mid season we always had belief! We played as a team even though we had some avg players. Marty lead from the front, walker was running hard and straight and the defence got up in the opposition faces and in numbers and were desperate.

Can we get it back? Maybe? Might only take a good win next week to lift us and a home win against a red hot panthers side at home to get the belief and confidence back.

Barrett"opportunities to play semi finals don't come every year"
That's interesting because I thought there were semi finals every year

Managing our expectations under his coaching regime............

Someone explain to him we are Manly, our expectations are not the same as those of the modern era Dragons!!!

I really wont be sad if TERBERCULOSIS goes hes just not manly no matter what potential he occasionally shows as a coach

Maybe call browny to slap him a few more times before and if we make the semis ! Might change the shi7 thats being served up atm by all of them !

I have a genuine question for the Barrett supporters out there. Given he is now in season 2 and assuming, as seems likely, this season has self destructed, how many seasons of this will you be happy to put accept.

I know some made excuses for him last season because of injuries and this season the excuse is Snake & Matai, but how many more seasons of mediocrity would it take for people to say enough? I am genuinely interested to know.

most on here last year demanded top 8 or Barrett gets the sack this time round.

given we could very well miss out if the dragons and cows find some form and with our for and against a shot duck over the past month whats the feeling?

dead man walking or messiah ready to lead us frim the wilderness...

seen some great positives this year as well as some real poo on a stick.

TB still makes some strange selections and moves at times....

At the moment we're a carbon copy of when Hasler took over. And his time with us turned out pretty successful.
2004 was an inconsistent crapy first season for Hasler.
2005 we were up the top for a lot of it but then crashed and burned for the last few months. We just made the 8 and we're thrashed in the first week...... (sounds familiar)
2006 was a solid year that we were entrenched in the 8 for all but the first few rounds and finished 5th.

So i guess if we're not playing good consistent footy by midway through next season....?

I don't see very much similarities between Hasler's early yrs and now.Back row is no comparison,Walker is not as good/consistent and he's been in first grade for a while now and due to the way Korisau plays,I can't see him being able to keep up that intensity yr in yr out, look at Segeyaro. The club needs to be developing. The reason Hasler was successful was because 80% of the players either came through the Manly system or hadn't played 1st grade at other clubs
