I can't agree with this. Dessie would have handled the Gifty situation much better than it was handled. Our current situation can be traced directly to how the Gifty situation was handled.
I'm not arguing he should have stayed, but it should have been handled better than it was and had that happened we wouldn't have imploded like we did from August 2014 onwards.
I agree and disagree.......
Trent was a bad decision! A young novice coach is not what this club needed. We needed a senior coach with a track record and strong discipline, we needed someone with a track record to rebuild the team and develop the players we had.
Dezzie should never have left ................if he stays we have a dynasty..........we had the players and the taste of success. Whoever and everyone who was involved in him leaving should be banished from the club forever!!! They obviously all put their own personal interests and pettiness before that of the success of the footie club.
What our franchise needs is a f***ing broom to get rid of all the current ownership and management...............they are all self serving f***ing c***s!!
Methinks you enjoy stirring the pot there Strone. I suspect that if we were all against Barrett and thought the team was hopeless, you'd take the opposite view, just to read the reactions. I bet you enjoyed debating at school.
spot on Frank ...Des is hopeless. With everything he's had at his disposal at the Dogs look at what he's achieved. The dogs are a basket case. IMO Tooves, with everything he had against him, was the better coach.
I would be gutted if Hasler ever came back to coach our team.
You left off a few zeros, more like 1000000-11000-1
Sounds like your boss hates you !!
You've got to laugh. Wasn't long ago that plenty on here were panicking about him going to the dogs. He certainly has metaphorically if you read this thread.Seems the Kool Aid has developed a bitter aftertaste going by this thread
Rumour is now Barrett to the dogs and Neil Henry is coming here.
Walters to the tits.
Feels that way.Ever since Gould anointed TB as the next Macquire / Robinson our season has nose dived. Mid season Barrett was telling anybody that would listen that he loved the joint and loved the playing group. The team were playing like a happy squad up until round 19. The silence surrounding Barrett's contract extension is deafening. The performance of the playing group suggests that they know Barrett is on the way out and they are not happy. I expect that someone is throwing a lot of coin at TB and he has dropped his beloved playing group like a bad habit. No good guys left in this game everybody is just chasing the dollar! Our administration is inept with too many agendas and too many egos at play. I fear that the mighty sea eagle may become extinct!
That doesn't sound very believable. Just because coaches are moving around doesn't mean that the first jobless coach will be the one to take Barrett's job if he goes. My money is on Hasler or one of Fulton's sons taking over if Barrett leaves.
