From what I seen in the two trials the players that played well and used the trials to showcase where they are at.

1. Hoppa
2. Bully
3. TKO
4. Faulalo
5. Simpkin
6. Willett

Would have liked to have seen more of

1. Patolo
2. James
3. Sykes
4. Dunford
5. Schoupp

I was disappointed with the efforts and performances of Brown and Sipley, thought they had the chance to start the year strong and push to be in the 17.

It was a fking stripping penalty for two in the tackle, apparently… which was laughable. I know it’s only a trial, but couldn’t believe we didn’t challenge it. That swung the momentum and game right there.

A masterclass of BS from Atkins again. Just hope he doesn't get to many Manly games this season.

Yeah I think the last decade of failure has a lot of us pretty fatigued of watching mediocre efforts.

Also, we have won a Grand Final in every decade since the 70's and I can't see us winning one without DCE in the side and his time is soon coming to an end

Personally I would put Tevaga on the bench instead of GCKT, at least he can cover a few positions

What game did you watch, 20-0 !!..Souths didn't score till it was 32 nil to Saints, who went on to win 46-24. Humphries came on with Saints taking their foot of the pedal tbh. Wouldn't get to carried away with Humphries performance till the season proper.

From memory Sips is a traditional prop type who usually takes a few weeks to work into match fitness.
Brown has been rehabbing some sort of injury so probably also a bit underdone.
In fact, possibly why these guys were trotted out for the trial.

Haven’t watched the pennies trial myself but seems to have left a few slightly disappointed! Oh well there’s always next year 😀
