Oh I agree, outstanding clubman and critical this year. Next year I’m not so sure. He is getting on and looked off the pace at times last season

yeah if we lose DCE for an extended period we are screwed. Anyone thinking metcalf is next in line are kidding themselves. From what I have seen he has speed but not much more.

I guess it all depends on how much you are paying them, but I can see your perspective on this.

We shouldn’t underestimate what they provide off the field though. My guess, from the outside looking in, is each make a strong contribution to the Squad’s culture and are leaders in different ways: Jorge is that older head to the younger islander blokes coming through; Thommo’s value has been noted above; and Croker is a bloke who would not be getting paid much but seems to be doing everything to will his dream into reality.

Schuster in the 30. His trial I assume won it for him. It means Hasler has him earmarked for first grade involvement earlier in the year than was expected. If he keeps advancing, he's a future international. Later in the year I hope we see him joined by Ben T. And of course the other up and comer Albert, could also be looking for first grade experience later in the year after he has fully recovered from his injury and has had some trial matches with the Reggies. Exciting times, though I wish Albert would forget about his intended 2 year sabbatical

No he knew months ago when he re signed that it was to be in the top 30. Storm and Tigers were willing to give him top 30 so he was never gonna take a development deal only at Manly. He is very loyal to the Fulton's and Manly but he is also not stupid and Manly needed to look after him in return.

Blind Freddy can see the talent he has and he deserves to be top 30 on merit anyway so he was never gonna be stay development regardless.

I see they have got rid of the contract lengths from the original post - I never understand why they consider how long someone is signed for such secret squirrel stuff. Why the paranoia around how long contracts are ?? It's like they enjoy keeping the fan base in the dark.
