Six rounds in and it's deja vu all over again. Three wins, three losses, no signs of improvement anywhere. Tommy's injured, Cherry's checked out, forwards are bog average, and we have the strength and resilience of a soggy cardboard box. If you can see sunshine and rainbows in that (No! Not rainbows!), more power to you.

And Penn shall respond by sacking Seibold! For the exact same issues that plagued Des... Almost like a few long term signings prevent us from doing anything different, year after year.
I don't think we can reach the next level with those three. I want change. We haven't met the target of winning a comp with those three. Whether they're nice people or not, it's been a failure.
I see Mestrov and Seibold as strong operators, all the distractions in the Fulton's, pride jerseys, culture, etc, I think have been solved... But we are still not good enough. We simply don't have the personnel with $2 million on two players who might as well never play, and $1 million on someone who is playing like he already has a contract elsewhere.
Bring on Fogarty, Hoppa, and Navale.

By the way everyone, Manly was outsiders in the last 2 games and not many (aside from Manly-blinded folks like us) expected us to win those games.
Not to mention Sharks had a 9 day turnaround v Manly's 6 day prep.
Yeah it's crap to lose (haven't seen the Sharks game yet) but a 6-point loss to a top 4 side... could be worse.
Not sure about optimism but at least I still have a pulse

I just don’t buy this squad. We have too many ordinary players. The only superstars we have are Tommy, Ola, Hoppa and DCE but Tommy is so far in front of everyone else it’s stupid, and we just can’t get him on the park.
