The fact is ...

The specialist Sageyaro at his best is a more potent Hooker than the makeshift Croker .

Croker has done an amazing Job to fit into the team and hold his own

Segy at his best can make the game his own . He is a more Dynamic player

The fact is There is nothing Dynamic about Croker
my recollection of non manly stuff is more questionable than manly stuff so ill ask

i dont remember seggy as an 80 minute man. more a benchy, in fact rarely the first choice hooker for much of his career

he is dynamic but at best could only be part of interchange with frog unless we are really struggling to cover injuries unless your suggesting, he start and walks and maybe lawnton on bench and froggy watching

in saying that des does value experience

Okay .. get ready to gang up .. line up numbnuts ..

I have a strong belief that Schuster, as good as he is, will never be our best 5/8 or our best 2nd rower..

He will always be a big part of the team.. but controversy over where to play him will continue until he retires..
Not a bad shout, he'll probably play 5/8 when Foz retires but may have to make way when Latu graduates to first grade.(could be anywhere from 0 - 4 seasons) I hope we don't lose him to a club that offers him the 6 jersey long term.

Segy is a very valuable player when his mind is on footy

The only highlights I could find and the brilliance he is capable off

When Segy is focused he really fcks the opposition

Here are the highlights at his best and at his best Croker is out of his league

I have never seen Croker rise to the Segy high plays

Not sure there’s any point getting in a flap about any injury this season. The main concern for every team will be depth for the regular CoVid ins and outs.

But... Segeyaro's best days are behind him whereas Croker's best days are ahead of him!

If you are going to contradict your own 'logic' try to avoid doing it in consecutive posts, it is too easy to spot.

hey dude nicksplat GIF
Here is more Logic to support my claim feathered friend :)
Segyaro best days may be behind him but from the best displays I have seen of Croker I believe Segy is still a more potent player .

I know that this will come as a huge shock and disappointment to you.

But your thoughts and beliefs do NOT qualify in any universe as logic..

Crokers best days perspective

Des has done an amazing job to get Croker playing above his weight and potential

I believe from the progress that I have seen from Croker over 4 years at Manly he has peaked

The moral of the story

You can only squeeze so much juice out of each orange

Nothing surprises me or disappoints me any more feathered friend

I have risen like an Eagle above all that

Harry Feathered friend

I do Not look at scapegoats .

I look at the Eagles that are capable of rising the bar higher to meet our Legendary clubs highest
Benchmark

At this point of their career and the Fact is ....

Foz Best days are Behind him and Schuster Best days are ahead of him

If we are to get ahead Schuster is the most dominant one

We will agree to disagree . Have a Great day
I will say that I do mainly agree with your points! I’d love anything that would improve us, although im just not so sure the halves/spine is the problem area. And rather than schuster already being more dominant than foz, id say that this isn’t a tested and proven concept. Rather, i’d agree with you that he certainly has a high potential to be more dominant (supporting your idea of starting him over foz as a risk vs reward scenario)

Dargen Durdevic?!
I think its Troy Dargan...

2019

Dargan made his international debut for the Cook Islands against South Africa in a 2021 Rugby League World Cup qualification match.[2] He scored a try in that match as the Cook Islands won 66–6.[3] He also scored two tries in his second match against the United States as the Cook Islands won 38–16.[4]

2020

Dargan made his debut in round 3 of the 2020 NRL season for South Sydney in their 28–12 loss against the Sydney Roosters following the resumption of the sport due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]

2021

Dargan made no appearances for South Sydney in the 2021 NRL season. On 8 October, Dargan was released by the South Sydney club.[6]

Seggy is more of a weapon when used close to the line, very hard to stop out of dummy half.

Bozo I love how you have gone to the trouble to get these clips ,and I like the idea of us getting a player of his ability on a cheap and cheerful deal, but alot of those clips are nearly or maybe over 10 years old ,the baby in a bonnett aka Jamie Soward is in one of them as is "3rd man in Thaiday " and the most laterally challenged foward ever in Michael Weyman ,I know Seggie hasnt had alot of match time lately I just hope he is up to standard even for BWSE .Anyway I guess we will see soon enough .

This or Andrew Davies. Also opens up an interesting opportunity for Des to "trial" Jake in that 2nd row (left side) and still play 3 big bonkers down the middle. Jake is unquestionably our best ball player in the forwards and has that amazing link with Tom out wide. I feel he is wasted in that lock / middle position and can be better utilised.
I love the fact that Davey might get another start

I mean he is arguably our best 5/8 and best secondrower atm so cant agree that he will never be either.

That said I get your point that over his career he may shift between the two depending how it best helps the team

The fact you say "arguably" pretty much proves my point..

For example ... Nobody will ever say that turbo is arguably our best fullback ...

Schuster has to be in the side somewhere.. I just think arguments about where will continue throughout his career..

I disagree, he has played 1 full season.

Still a tonne of improvement to come so the fact he is arguably the best in those slots at this stage of heis carrer speaks volumes imo

Segeyaro has played 9 all his career and is on the downside.
Croker has only played 2 full seasons of NRL and was a specialist half all his life.
Croker made a large improvement from year 1 to year 2,but logic tells you he has peaked and can't improve in his third year of playing as a 9?
