Essentially a quarter of the regular playing season , going to be hard to cover for him . Like Lawton but nowhere near the same value . Maybe Bullemor can be fast tracked or Davey being able to offer some good form again . Guess if Foz has some playing fitness issues [ and certainly hope not ] that there is always Walker to cover the 6 role .

Think Bullemor will get the start
This or Andrew Davies. Also opens up an interesting opportunity for Des to "trial" Jake in that 2nd row (left side) and still play 3 big bonkers down the middle. Jake is unquestionably our best ball player in the forwards and has that amazing link with Tom out wide. I feel he is wasted in that lock / middle position and can be better utilised.

Disappointing for the Schu but we have coverage. I assume he would have started in the back row again anyway. I’m actually keen to see Davey get back in somewhere. Seems like a natural leader to me. Bully too to get a start somewhere. As others have said we have plenty of other options with Foz fit.

If you are gonna get an injury better this time of year where the first 4 weeks or so are not 'on the clock'. Bit like what Tommy has done the past seasons.

If last season showed us anything its how you finish not how you start. And backrower is one spot we have some cover.
Yes that is some consolation. It will give the various forwards jostling for spots an opportunity to stake their claim, whether that's Lawton or Davey, or Bullemor, Boyle, Sipley. Even Ben T although he surely is down the pecking order at the moment.
The whole squad will be needed at times so nothing different about this really.

Foran's composure, organising and rallying those around him and generally his ability to get us around the park is underrated.

Schuster has a mile of time to come and will be fantastic but is young and still can lack a bit of composure and make the wrong play at times.

No need to rush Foran out, it will happen naturally in time

Okay .. get ready to gang up .. line up numbnuts ..

I have a strong belief that Schuster, as good as he is, will never be our best 5/8 or our best 2nd rower..

He will always be a big part of the team.. but controversy over where to play him will continue until he retires..

Devils advocate in me says…

Foz was definitely good enough last year as our halves were better than most

and…

It was largely the inexperience of our forwards and backline that let us down in the big games, rather than one player / scapegoat
Harry Feathered friend

I do Not look at scapegoats .

I look at the Eagles that are capable of rising the bar higher to meet our Legendary clubs highest
Benchmark

At this point of their career and the Fact is ....

Foz Best days are Behind him and Schuster Best days are ahead of him

If we are to get ahead Schuster is the most dominant one

We will agree to disagree . Have a Great day

Time will tell as it usually does feathered friend

The young Schuster has demonstrated skill levels that most NRL players dream off and I believe that puts his in good stead to rise as one of the Greats

I believe we still have Dargen on a train n trial contract too. Another injury to a half and he might be getting a call up.
It really exposes how light we are in the play making positions. Segeyaro isn't far away from a start either.
The fact is ...

The specialist Sageyaro at his best is a more potent Hooker than the makeshift Croker .

Croker has done an amazing Job to fit into the team and hold his own

Segy at his best can make the game his own . He is a more Dynamic player

The fact is There is nothing Dynamic about Croker

But... Segeyaro's best days are behind him whereas Croker's best days are ahead of him!

If you are going to contradict your own 'logic' try to avoid doing it in consecutive posts, it is too easy to spot.

hey dude nicksplat GIF
