Eden Ahbez was living under one of the "L"s in the Hollywood sign with his family. Natalie Cole was walking with her father Nat King Cole and they met Eden on the street. Afterwards, Natalie said she thought they had just met Jesus. Eden gave Cole this song. This is the original by Eden.

I remember when Steppenwolf played at the Narrabeen Antler. I was ambivalent but I'd just read the Hesse novel and John Kay wasn't him. This sounds better though...........
