Snake
Snake's Alive!
Penrith are in a cosy position...they won't have to prop up a cent. Reason being, clubs are willing to pay full freight because of (a) it's Matt Moylan and (b) Penrith can afford to keep him on the books for next year at least.I know Bozo and Gus have a no poaching arrangement so is there any idea on what the financials would be?
If Gus let him come to us I wonder if it would be a 50/50 split on his current contract or more our way for the goodwill of letting him go.
I'm probably more at 600k than 8.
He was probably worth that to them then before the emergence of those other blokes.
Down the track if Penrith were upgrading Cleary and re-signing May and Edwards, they would be desperate to clear cap space and may negotiate a transfer figure. As it stands they don't have this problem YET...the problem is coming down the line but Penrith can afford to sit on the problem until Cleary needs upgrading and May and Edwards go on the open market.
The James Graham situation is different because the Dogs were desperate to clear the cap space and he only walks when he is guaranteed the 1 mil that he original signed for...therefore Dogs had to arrange for a taker that was willing to meet in the middle...Penrith don't have this problem.
