I'm really happy for Kelly despite the various opinions on him. The experience gained from these games are invaluable. I really hope he takes his chances, trains hard in the off season and comes back stronger in 2019.

Great news!
My understanding is, the name comes from the fact he is just bloody good at everything he does. Footy, golf, table tennis, tiddlywinks... apparently he’ll smash anyone at practically any sport, and he became “gifty” because of his natural “gifts”. Can’t recall where I heard that, but was years ago and pretty sure it was a credible source. Possibly a quote from his bro...
