The Life Of Brian (Kelly)

I think we should offer the young bloke a contract extension now. He has plenty of talent and yes he had an up and down season in 2018. Yep he needs to work on his defence, but there are not many in the 2018 squad that don't. If our halves combination actually get the ball out to the backline next season, this young bloke will have a career defining year.

Think Steve Matai in his first season or two, similar issues.

Not suggesting here that Kelly will become a Skivvy, he was a once in a generation, but he’s well above average and will learn!!

Gee, I post what I thought was a light hearted comment, go to bed and wake up to a royal **** fight!!

Wow

I’ll restate again, can we keep this on topic and not take a religious slant on it.

You want to argue about God(s) do it in a general topic that I can avoid.

Whoa! What happened. Last time I take a wee sabbatical from Silvertails!

As said a thousand times previously, give the kid some early ball and space, and let his footwork do the rest.

He needs to keep working on his defence, but what young centre doesn't?
Sht, even your Greg Inglis, and Will Chambers types get burnt every now and then.
Welcome to being an NRL centre.

Although Brian needs to learn to "hit and stick" much better, one v one.

Looks like the 5/8 experiment will not get off the ground any time soon, but I still see some potential value there.

Exciting young centre Brian Kelly is making the right moves towards a bright representative career according to Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans.

Kelly will join Cherry-Evans and Manly vice-captain Jake Trbojevic in wearing the green and gold colours of the Prime Minister's XIII team against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby on Saturday, October 6.

"His selection is a great reward for a young man who has continually improved in the NRL. He has all the ability and skills to be a long-time first grader at Manly."

Kelly played in all of Manly's 24 games this season, crossing for seven tries, one of which was an absolutely brilliant solo try against the Canberra Raiders that saw several defenders left in his wake.

Cherry-Evans said Kelly – who has scored 15 tries in 47 matches - is a deceptive player who can certainly cause headaches for the opposition.

"I really like the way Brian carries the ball. He is deceptively strong for someone of his stature,'' Cherry-Evans said.

Kelly will benefit enormously from playing in that game. Should be a great confidence booster. Obviously Big Mal likes the cut of his jib.

Just don’t get injured out there DCE, Jake or Brian.

@Mark from Brisbane ..... resolution 43(c) of the minutes of the recent PPC members converence calls upon you to consider changing the thread title currently known as "The Life of Brian (Kelly) to the more accurate and satisfying .....

The Life of Brian (The International) ...

Your consideration is greatly appreciated

I have no objections Woodsie...oh you were asked Mark of Brisbane. Sorry. The nom de plumes are so similar.
