In my life, I have given a **** about many people and many things. I have also not given a **** about many people and many things. And those ****s I have not given have made all the difference.

If the other posters take it there i will oblige. End of the day im not perfect and and definitely not a poster child for religion though i do know a fair bit about the 2 main ones. I dont know you but i assume you know me, i talk footy i come here to talk footy yet some are here to make fun of others because they never left behind the high school mentality. I made my opinion on kelly yesterday and some flop decides too make fun of me personally so i retaliated to put him down. Cause and effect buddy. If he just said i dont agree with what your saying on kelly like he should have nothing goes beyond that. (speaking of high school)

@BOZO held his own and maybe offering people out isnt the right way but dont push the bloke with your smart ass comments and cheap two cent posts. By the looks of the guy he could turn you all into pretzels
No doubt the PPC will come back at me with there sardonic barbs and newspaper gags from the 80s 😉 and i love it.
Bozo your a great manly fan dont let the PPC get you down 😉

Ps Kelly is ****house and you all know this deep down but because hes ours you want him to do good.. so do i i just think we've seen the best of him and it really isnt that great is it.

I'm nobody's cheerleader.

Dont take my preference to not engage with you as some sort of "standing behind people" thing. I just choose not to engage in a battle of wits with someone who is unarmed.

I agree and disagree with plenty on here. Have had many disagreements on issues but can engage with them as I can see they have intelligence regardless of their side of the argument.

The irony in someone preaching about "high school mentality" when he throws out such childish tripe like "dog" and "salad dodger" proves my point to a tee about the complete waste of effort to engage in any converstation with you.

Have a lovely week, tough guy.

What the **** is a salad dodger?

Excuse me!

To get the original nature of this thread back on topic....

Here's the last I have to say on religion (promise LOL)

I've seen in palliative care units, time and time again...when death draws closer, the mask of youthful bravado drops. Some on here may remember this thread (of all things LOL) at that time and I will bet @Woodsie 's lefty that you will turn to Jesus in those last few days. I have seen some of the toughest, non beleiving blokes you could imagine cry with Fathers and pray earnestly for forgivness in their last days. Some even plan for that last minute turn around. (That won't work, sadly)

I'm at the stage where I find all this bluster and attitude of "I don't believe, nor do I care" extremely amusing. I'll probably burn for that LOL!!!

You will crumble and change your mind when faced with your inevitable demise. It seems to be human nature! Good luck...bible dodgers!!

Bloody hell Moz....
Well maybe a bad choice of words.
I'm a believer but now you've got me absolutely sh*tting myself!!!

Fun fact: the cross symbol as we know it is historically inaccurate - that ‘t’ shaped cross is an Italian cross; the Romans used either an X shape, or a single beam that was propped against a tree or wall.

Likewise, the ‘crucifixion wounds’ in the hands and feet are incorrect - nails were driven through the wrists and ankles. Stigmata are actually a really interesting study in how powerful the human brain can be, psychosomatically speaking.

Oh, and the mechanism of death via crucifixion? It’s basically asphyxiation, not dissimilar to what happens when someone suffocates from having a dozen coppers kneeling on their chest. Essentially, you get to a point where you can no longer support your body weight suspended by your arms, and your chest wall pretty much collapses and caves in on itself. Can think of better ways to die!

@Stronger2gether disagree all you like, I couldn’t care less. But you might want to do your research. I only studied this stuff under one of the foremost professors on the subject in Australia, so...y’know...there’s a bit of background knowledge there that you obviously don’t have @;)

Said scholar, by the way, is a devout Christian. He certainly earns his beliefs more respect by having thoroughly examined the inconsistencies and anomalies in religious texts and practices, and come to an understanding of how it all fits together (for him), as opposed to the ‘nyah nyah, I’m not listening’, fingers in ears attitude you seem to have. Perhaps you should try it sometime.

(This bloke, if anyone’s interested: https://researchers.mq.edu.au/en/persons/chris-forbes One of the best lecturers and tutors I came across, in any field. I’m still an atheist though @:D)
