I have concerns Brian may do something stupid one day. Considering his relatives. Cousin Albert and James. Hopefully this trait doesn't run in the family
His head is screwed on much better than those guys. Has a pretty stable little home life. I work with an indigenous guy (who's in his 50's with son brians age) that is good mates with his dad from up the north coast. They keep a good eye on him in sydney. Like having a broader extended family. Has good role models and support.

He's actually who tipped me off to how good brian would be. With regard to @BOZO we've sparred about this before and you're ironed on in your beliefs which is fine, but every player gets thrown off from time to time. I've seen James Roberts get absolutely catapulted by Inglis. Doesn't mean he's not elite. For the record though with what i've seen from Brian this year, if he progresses half as much to next year as he did to this year i predict he'll play origin by 2021

Ironed on?
"We need an X factor in the centers with Dylan . Everyone knows what Jono Wright can do and that is very little . Mathew Wright has not been fit to play in any of the trials , so the most logical choice is the fit and ready X factor Kelly . "

I agree . Brian seems like a good guy . If he plays Origin I will be the first to congratulate him and you
Keep your dream alive .

he has played 5/8 and fullback (and maybe wing), in his younger days at Ballina .... I think he is worth keeping BOZO .... he will be worth it I'm sure

Lane and Kelly have been the two shining lights in very forgettable year. This Penn financed club has already lost Lane. Don't retain Kelly and the year has been a complete waste.

Considering we had some options and senior players in the second row, I can see why the club wouldn't match the Slime's offer to Lane. The salary cap penalty plus upgraded contracts next year don't help. Agree with you on Kelly though. He's been one of our shining lights this year and we already have a lack of experience in the backline. Losing Kelly would be madness.

We all see different things in players and we all have our benchmarks . Some think a player is great others think they are average .
Some people get off on 4 cylinder Toyotas and some like the ride of a V8 muscle speed machine .
The moral of the story is what ever rocks our boat .
I think you will find that Trent was the one that secured Kellys signature . Never the less , All rookies with potential that play well with the boys at Jnr level don't always make the great heights playing with men

The way that 22 year old Kelly was bumped off by the 21 year old Ramien last week against the Sharks was for all to see and make their own mind and evaluate him as they please

Sorry Bozo. But according to reports I've read, Fulton encouraged Manly to sign Kelly

I have been proven wrong many times feathered friend . Some players do improve significantly over time .Time always tells .

Kelly can play and deserves to be there at the moment. Where he goes from here depends on any number of things. We should just sit back and see what unfolds. He does struggle against strong centres in defence but he is getting better. He’s not SOO origin material just yet.

Seems like a level headed young fellow and wants to stay a seaeagle, which sais alot about his character.

Luckily enough for the baggers, the eternal whipping boy wants to remain.
This will save the stooges having to find yet another whipping boy to blame all things on.
